Epilogue
What comes after returning from a hot spring trip? Obviously, the usual daily life comes back.
“…Or so you’d think.”
“What’s up?”
“Nothing, really.”
I shook my head at Arisa, who turned to look at me, and returned my gaze to what was in front of me.
I said daily life was back, but lately, I’ve developed a bit of a habit—studying.
“Who’d have thought I’d keep studying even after the tests?”
“Honestly, it feels like that’s how students are supposed to be.”
“True.”
I laughed, agreeing with her.
I definitely put a lot of effort into studying for the tests before the trip, and it seems that became a good habit ingrained in me.
After school, I usually spend time relaxing with them, but I’ve started setting aside time for light review.
“Studying with my girlfriend is fun.”
“Studying with my boyfriend is fun too.”
We chuckled at each other, and I subtly shifted my gaze to the side.
Since we’re in Arisa’s room, she’s here, of course, but Aina’s here too, lying on her stomach reading a magazine.
“Hmm-hmm-hmm~♪”
Aina had been studying with us until a bit ago, but she seems to have gotten bored.
After about thirty minutes of studying with Aina’s humming as background music, Arisa and I were satisfied and put away our study materials.
“By the way, what’s got you so engrossed, Aina?”
“Hm? Oh, this?”
Sitting up quickly, Aina spread the magazine on the desk, revealing a page with a beautiful woman in a wedding dress.
Why a wedding dress?
Then I realized it’s almost June… the whole June bride thing, huh.
“Hey, Hayato-kun.”
“Yeah?”
“Do you think we’d look good in something like this?”
“You’d look great.”
“Whoa, that was quick.”
Of course you’d look great!
To me, they’d look good in anything, but imagining them in those pure white dresses… it’s almost scary how beautiful they’d be.
That said, the day I’d get to see that is far off… probably years away.
(I have to protect the days I get to spend with them until then.)
There will probably—definitely—be obstacles as we go on together… but strangely, I’m not worried. Because I believe we can overcome them.
“Hayato-kun.”
That said… I really do want to see Arisa and Aina in wedding dresses.
Those beautiful dresses, prepared for a sacred ceremony, would undoubtedly highlight their charm to the fullest.
But because it’s a dress like that, I can’t help but wonder how their amazing, alluring figures would look in them… I’m almost embarrassed by my own thoughts, but I’m really curious about that too.
“Hayato-kun!”
“Hya!?”
I jumped when my name was suddenly called right by my ear.
Turning to see who it was, I found Aina, her cheeks puffed out as she stared at me.
Arisa… wasn’t there?
“Nee-san went to the bathroom. Were you so lost in thought you didn’t notice me calling you, Hayato-kun?”
“Uh… well, yeah.”
“Hmm? Were you imagining us wearing these?”
“…Yeah.”
No point in hiding it anymore.
When I nodded honestly, Aina smiled happily and sat on my lap as I sat cross-legged.
The faint sweet scent and her captivating eyes at such close range… We’re used to this kind of closeness, but it still makes my heart race.
“The trip was fun, wasn’t it?”
“Yeah.”
“You worked really hard studying, didn’t you?”
“Yeah.”
“I’m so happy you’re by my side, Hayato-kun♪”
“Uh, yeah…”
Even though I’ve heard those words so many times, hearing them so deliberately makes me oddly embarrassed… Is my face super red right now?
“You’re blushing… So cute♪”
“…What’s up?”
“Nothing, just… I was thinking about the future too, and I was happy you were imagining it with us.”
Aina’s smile deepened… Damn, the air feels so sweet.
When Aina exhaled, her warm breath reached me… That’s how close we are right now.
“The night we got back from the trip, when you went home and weren’t there, Nee-san and I talked.”
“Talked?”
“Yeah—about how your determination, the kind way you look at others, the love you show us… all of it is so precious and sets our hearts ablaze.”
“……………”
“Hayato-kun… You’re completely caught by us, aren’t you?”
“!?”
She licked my neck.
The rough sensation of her tongue tickled, but more than that, I was overwhelmed by Aina’s aura and couldn’t move.
“And we’re completely caught by you too… There’s no escaping, right? But that’s what makes it so wonderful.”
“A-Aina…?”
“Oh, by the way, Nee-san mentioned you’re interested in deep kissing. Is that true?”
“…Huh!?”
Deep kissing… A deep kiss.
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t interested, and it’s true I talked about it with Arisa.
I gave a small nod, and Aina softly said, “Sorry.”
I didn’t understand what she meant by that, but in the next moment, Aina was kissing me.
“Mmn… slurp… lick…”
“!?!?”
But it wasn’t just a light kiss… It wasn’t like any kiss we’d shared before.
Her tongue slipped between my teeth… This was unmistakably a deep kiss.
“……………”
How much time passed? Probably just a few dozen seconds… but it felt like time had stopped, like everything was condensed into a fleeting moment… It was such a strange sensation.
“…Phew.”
As our faces parted, a silver thread lingered between us.
Aina smiled with satisfaction, looking as if she could proudly say she hadn’t done anything wrong… No, she didn’t do anything wrong.
Because that was… a kiss.
“A little step… forward, right?”
“Ah…”
In the end, we keep moving forward.
No matter how much we try to hold onto the present, no matter how much we cherish the moment, as long as we’re alive, staying the same is impossible.
But… for now, I was grateful for my body.
“Ah… huh…”
“Huh? Hayato-kun… Hayato-kun!?”
A floating sensation washed over me, and I collapsed onto the floor.
…It seems that kiss completely did me in… But I definitely experienced it—my first deep kiss.
(This is gonna drive me crazy…)
A kiss deeper than just touching… How terrifying.
But even thinking that, this was another inevitable step… moving our relationship forward.
