Chapter 4 This Year’s Sports Festival: Even More Fun Than Last Year!

The whole school’s buzzing with excitement for the sports festival.

It’s not just the students—teachers, too, are pouring their hearts into making this event a success. Or maybe, deep down, it’s just about having a blast, plain and simple. Honestly, for something like this, that’s probably the best approach.

The big day’s tomorrow.

Like me, Arisa, Aina, Sota, Kaito, and the rest of our classmates have been grinding through event practice and prep for weeks. Tomorrow’s our chance to let loose and show what we’ve got.

“Well, night-night, Grandpa, Grandma.”

“Night, Hayato.”

“Can’t wait to see you shine!”

I hung up after chatting with Grandpa and Grandma.

With the sports festival tomorrow, I’d just confirmed they’re coming to cheer me on. It warms my heart knowing they’ll be here, meeting Arisa and the others in person. Feels like a milestone, you know? But they’re getting up there in years, so I just hope they stay cool in this heat.

“Hayato-kun, can I come in?”

“Aina? Sure thing.”

As soon as I answered, Aina stepped into the room.

As usual, I’m hanging out at the Shinjo place. We’d just finished dinner before I called Grandpa and Grandma.

“Where’s Arisa?”

“Nee-san’s coming… oh, there she is.”

Right on cue, Arisa strolled in.

“You good?” I asked.

“Yup.”

Arisa plopped down on the floor, while Aina settled on the edge of the bed.

I hesitated for a second, wondering where to sit, then parked myself next to Arisa, the closest one. She beamed and hooked her arm around mine, all happy-like. Meanwhile, Aina, sitting a bit farther off, puffed out her cheeks in a pout, stood up, and stomped over to my other side, plunking down with a dramatic thud.

“Aina, you’re adorable,” Arisa teased.

“What, feeling smug ‘cause Hayato-kun picked you? Hmph,” Aina shot back.

“Why you gotta twist it like that…?”

“Whatever~”

Aina’s tone was light, not actually mad or anything.

She flashed a grin, then flopped back onto the bed, practically vibrating with excitement as she went on. “Tomorrow’s the sports festival! It’s been such a whirlwind since practice and prep started, but I’m way more pumped than last year! ♪”

How many times have we had this exact conversation? Aina’s so hyped she can’t stop bringing it up, but I get it. I’m stoked too, and I know Arisa feels the same.

“Sure, soaking up the sports festival vibes is great, but let’s give it our all in our events, yeah? And, uh, try not to get hurt?”

“Word,” I said.

“Yup! And Hayato-kun, no pulling a muscle like last time, okay?”

“Ugh, don’t remind me!”

That muscle strain from before summer break? Yeah, I’d rather not relive that nightmare. Sure, getting pampered by the girls while I was laid up was a perk, but that pain? Never again.

“Man, that hurt like hell. I got lucky it was just a minor injury, but when it happened, I swear I thought the world was ending.”

“Ugh, sorry, Hayato-kun,” Aina mumbled.

“Gotta punish you for bringing it up.”

“…Huh!?”

I reached for Aina, still sprawled out, and launched a tickle attack. Way back when, I hit both her and Arisa with my patented God Finger tickle move, but this time? I’m not holding back.

“Take that! And that!”

“W-Wait, stop—hahaha! Quit it, quit it…!”

“What if I join in?” Arisa chimed in.

No way—Arisa’s jumping into the fray! She pinned Aina’s arms down as she squirmed, trapping her with no escape.

Heh heh heh, this ain’t like before, Aina. Back then, I was holding back a little, but now? I’m not pulling any punches—I’m gonna tickle you senseless! …Wait, what did I just say?”

Okay, senseless might’ve been a weird way to put it. I paused, questioning my own words, but didn’t let up. Still, I’m careful not to push her too far.

“Phew, you’re done for,” I said, easing off.

“Ugh… ha… mew…” Aina wheezed.

“…Tickling’s one thing, but now I kinda want to be messed up too,” Arisa muttered.

Whoa, Arisa? I almost snapped my head around at that, but I ignored it and focused on Aina, who was sprawled out, limp as a ragdoll.

Her face was flushed, eyes a little teary, and—oh, crap—Arisa had popped a couple of her pajama buttons during the chaos. Her chest was practically on full display.

“…”

Every breath she took sent her chest bouncing in a way that was hard to ignore. I’d tried to go easy, but maybe I overdid it just a smidge.

Phew… totally wrecked me… ♡”

Her voice was pure temptation, dripping with a sultry edge that nearly made me reach out. But Aina slowly sat up, buttons still undone, her bangs hiding her eyes. She swayed, moving toward me like a zombie straight out of an apocalypse flick.

“Uh, Aina…?”

“…”

Did she laugh so hard she actually turned into a zombie!? The thought hit me just as she lifted her head, flashing a wicked, almost feral grin.

Eek!?”

Yeah, I squealed like a wimp, but can you blame me? That was terrifying! Aina grabbed my shoulders, leaned in close, and—thankfully—didn’t chomp my neck. Instead, she nibbled playfully, tickling me like crazy.

Grr… nom♪”

“Arghhh! Somebody save meeee!”

“What are you two even doing?” Arisa sighed, exasperated.

We just cackled, sharing a goofy grin.

“You caught onto my vibe quick, huh?” I said.

“Dunno, I just kinda got what you were thinking,” Aina replied. “So, how was my zombie act?”

“If getting bitten by a zombie turns me into one, I guess I wouldn’t mind if it’s you doing the biting.”

“Oh yeah? But if I’m the zombie, I might just pounce on you… in a naughty way.”

That’s, uh… one sexy zombie. But let’s be real—zombies are just corpses, right? No chatting, no connection. Even if it’s Aina, I’d rather talk and hang out with the real, living her.

“For now, Aina, button up,” Arisa said.

“Fiiine. Hayato-kun, help me out? ♪”

“You got it.”

If that’s what the princess wants, who am I to say no? I carefully pulled her pajama fabric over her chest, buttoning it up. Even something this simple made my heart race.

“It’s the night before the sports festival, so we shouldn’t wear ourselves out,” Aina said. “If it was any other day, I’d be all over you.”

“No helping it,” Arisa added. “We just came to chill and talk, but someone had to start a tickle war.”

My bad. But yeah, with the big day tomorrow, staying up late or burning energy isn’t the move. Kinda bummer, though.

“Fufu, still, every second with you is pure bliss, Hayato-kun,” Arisa said.

“Yup! Next time, it’s me and you ganging up on Nee-san to mess her up!” Aina grinned.

“Haha, deal.”

With that, the two of them left the room.

Maybe I’m more wiped than I thought, because the second they were gone, a massive yawn hit me out of nowhere.

“Alright, time to crash.”

Sports festival tomorrow—let’s do this!

I crawled into bed, pumped up but already half-asleep, pulling the covers over my head. But then, the door creaked open.

“…?”

It shut just as quick, followed by soft footsteps inching closer. Just one person—probably Arisa or Aina. Couldn’t sleep and came back, maybe?

“Hey, what’s—?”

Someone climbed onto the bed, slipped under the covers, and pressed against me. A sweet scent filled the air, and teasing, playful hands roamed over me. I knew it was deliberate, a little invitation.

Tomorrow’s a big day, so I should save my energy… but a little fun won’t hurt, right? I turned to face them, pulling them close.

“…?”

…What the hell? Something feels off.

A faint twinge of unease hits me, but I’m young, alright? Cut me some slack for not resisting the pull of desire.

“Fooling around in the dark ain’t half bad,” I mutter.

My hands glide over soft, warm curves, savoring every second. She feels… fuller than usual, maybe? Her chest seems ridiculously big. But those thoughts vanish quick—I’m too caught up in the moment.

It’s not my fault, okay? It’s whichever one of those two snuck into my room. That’s what I tell myself as I slip my hand under her pajamas.

“Man, these are huge… so soft, just touching ‘em makes me stupid happy.”

I’m already lost in it.

All I want is to revel in this bounce, to make whoever came to me feel good, to show her how much this moment means. So I go all in, totally engrossed.

Mmm…”

“…Huh?”

Her soft moan snaps me out of it, and that earlier unease swells into something bigger.

No way… no way no way no way no way no way!

“Not Arisa… not Aina?”

The person I’m touching, the one who crawled into my bed like some kind of seductress in the dark—it’s not either of my girlfriends.

That narrows it down fast.

“…Oh.”

And then I see her—Sakuna-san.

“Why!?”

“…Hey there, Hayato-kun ♡”

Sakuna-san flashes a sultry smile, her eyes dripping with allure as she keeps teasing my body. I’m frozen, stunned out of my mind. Even now that I know it’s her, the sensible thing would be to pull away, but she’s not giving me any room to escape.

“Thought it was Arisa or Aina? Too bad—it’s me! ♪”

“Uh, Sakuna-san?”

Her vibe is completely unhinged!

Quick context: Sakuna-san was drinking beer earlier tonight. Got a bit carried away, maybe, but she seemed lucid enough, so I figured she was fine. Clearly, I was wrong.

“Hayato-kun, kiss me.”

“…Uh.”

Kiss meKiss!”

She’s radiating grown-ass woman charm, but throwing a childish tantrum at the same time. It’s rare to see her like this, but kissing their mom? That’s a hard no, right!?

This isn’t about me being wishy-washy or some “a man’s gotta take what’s offered” nonsense. It’s just wrong!

Hmph… Am I not good enough? You won’t treat me like you do Arisa or Aina?”

Her face falls, then twists into obvious frustration.

Just minutes ago, I thought she was Arisa or Aina and let my hands wander all over her. Maybe that flipped some kind of switch in her.

I’m paralyzed, unable to move, and Sakuna-san leans in closer. The price of my hesitation? Her soft lips against mine.

“!?”

Mwah… mmm…”

Her teasing, pecking kisses grind my shock and confusion into dust. Kissing’s supposed to make your heart race, but her kisses? They’re laced with a mature, enveloping warmth that makes me want to forget everything else. It feels that good.

I narrow my eyes, tempted to sink into the sensation. Yeah, my willpower’s weak as hell.

“…Huh?”

“…Fnya…”

But the sweet moment ends fast. Sakuna-san lets out a deflated noise and slumps, passing out cold.

“…”

Zzz… zzz…”

She’s asleep, but still clinging to me like she’s never letting go.

“…Tch!”

It’s not like nothing happened, but relief washes over me for a second—until my cheeks start burning. Sakuna-san caused this whole mess, and now she’s dreaming peacefully while I’m the one freaking out! God, what the hell did she do to me!?

“Hayato-kun… I love you…” she mumbles in her sleep.

Ugh, I’m so screwed.”

I debate carrying her back to her room, but she looks so damn happy—content, even—that it feels wrong to disturb her. Guess I’m stuck sleeping next to her tonight.

I adjust us into a more comfortable position and lie down beside her.

“She probably won’t remember any of this, but I’ll let it fuel me for tomorrow,” I mutter, closing my eyes.

Still, her warmth next to me keeps me restless, and that kiss—it’s burned into my brain, making sleep damn near impossible.

“…Haa.”

It’s the night before the sports festival, and I’m wondering if I’ll even be able to look Sakuna-san in the eye tomorrow. A little nerve-wracking, sure, but that kiss? No denying it was insanely good.

▼▽

After a night that was… let’s just say eventful in every sense, it’s finally sports festival day.

The weather forecast was spot-on—clear skies all day. Perfect for outdoor events, but the sun’s beating down hard, so staying hydrated is gonna be key.

“…Heh, now that’s a sight.”

I can’t help but grin at the scene in front of me.

Under the tent set up for spectators, Grandpa, Grandma, and Sakuna-san are chatting away, looking like they’re having the time of their lives. They just met for the first time, and seeing them hit it off like this warms my heart. Grandpa and Grandma especially look so happy.

“It’s like seeing Mom alive again…”

Sakuna-san isn’t Mom, and I’m sure Grandpa and Grandma don’t see her as a replacement. Still, that’s how it feels to me.

“…”

But looking at Sakuna-san brings last night flooding back. This morning, when she jolted awake, I did too. As expected, she didn’t remember a thing. Not the fact that I mistook her for Arisa or Aina and… well, got handsy, nor that kiss. If she did remember, I don’t even want to think about how that’d play out.

Part of me feels guilty for being relieved she forgot, but that memory’s seared into my brain, so I can’t help getting jittery every time I look at her.

“Hayato-kun.”

“Arisa?”

She’d sidled up next to me.

“Watching your grandparents?”

“Yeah… it’s just such a great scene, you know?”

Arisa’s face softens, and she nods. “Absolutely. Your grandpa and grandma are wonderful people. No wonder Mom’s having such a good time.”

“Thanks. That means a lot.”

“Me and Aina would love to chat with them more if we had the time.”

Her words prove how much she and Aina have warmed up to Grandpa and Grandma after meeting them. Standing side by side with Arisa, I soak in the heartwarming moment.

The noise around us picks up—looks like the sports festival’s about to kick off.

“Here we go,” I say.

“Yup.”

The crowd’s buzzing doesn’t let up, but then the opening ceremony music blares, followed by the broadcasting club’s announcement.

“The opening ceremony will now begin. All students, please proceed to the field for the entrance march.”

At the signal, we start marching from the gate toward the center of the field. The thunderous applause from the sidelines shows just how many parents and supporters showed up.

Lined up in the center, we listen as the principal takes the stage.

“This annual event is your chance to show off all the hard work you’ve put in. Give it your all today… but I know long speeches in this heat aren’t anyone’s favorite, so I’ll keep it short. That’s all from me!”

A few chuckles ripple through the crowd. Cutting the speech short in this heat? Much appreciated.

Next up is the gym committee chair, rocking his signature buzz cut.

“Alright, I’ll keep it quick too. Everyone, give it everything you’ve got today! And most importantly, have fun!”

Short and sweet, he jogs off the stage. After a few quick announcements, we head back to our team’s colored tents, and the events kick off one by one.

The big color-team relays are saved for later. Up first are the scavenger hunt and obstacle course races.

“Scavenger hunt participants, please gather at the entrance gate.”

Alright, my time to shine.

Sota’s in the scavenger hunt too, so we head over together when Arisa and Aina call out.

“You two, do your best!” Arisa says.

“Cheering you on! ♪” Aina adds.

“Thanks, both of you,” I reply.

“Hot sisters cheering for us? Hell yeah, I’m pumped! Sota roars.

Arisa and Aina’s support clearly lit a fire under Sota. He’s been obsessed with childhood-friend rom-coms lately, going on about how he’s dying to be cheered on by girls. Guess that’s why he’s so fired up.

“Why’s Sota so hyped?”

Kaito, overhearing the commotion, strolls over. “What’s got him so worked up?”

“Arisa and Aina cheered him on.”

“Man, he’s so simple,” Kaito laughs.

“Aojima-kun, we’ll cheer for you too when your turn comes!” Aina says.

Hell yeah! Let’s do this!” Kaito hollers.

…Well, damn. Looks like we’ve got another simpleton right here.

I flash a wry grin at Kaito's obvious enthusiasm, waving to Arisa and the others as Sota and I head toward the entrance gate.

This is it—the first event of this year’s sports festival. I tighten the red headband that marks our team’s color, psyching myself up.

“Let’s kick things off with the scavenger hunt! All participants, please enter the field!”

Alright, let’s do this!

With a burst of energy, I sprint onto the field, the cheers of non-competing students and parents raining down on us.

“Hayatoooo! Give it all you got!”

“…”

“Haha! Your grandpa’s got some fire!” Sota laughs.

Running on the outer edge, I catch a glimpse of Grandpa standing up in the spectator seats, waving a fan that says Undefeated Champion in bold letters. Grandma and Sakuna-san are cracking up beside him, and even the people around them are chuckling. …Seriously, I’m the one embarrassed here!

“Give me a break…” I mutter.

“C’mon, it’s awesome,” Sota says.

“Quit smirking!”

“It’s just too good, man.”

Ugh… Smirking like it’s someone else’s problem. I’m half-tempted to sock him, but seeing Grandpa that hyped cancels it out. Fine, we’re even.

Still red-faced, I take my position as the scavenger hunt kicks off.

“Here we go with the scavenger hunt! Twenty meters ahead, you’ll find a box with your task. Grab the item written on it and race back! Don’t worry, folks—no “your crush” or “someone you wanna marry” tasks here, so relax!”

Huh, guess they wouldn’t throw in anything that wild. Those kinds of prank tasks could get messy, but yeah, probably best they’re off the table.

The scavenger hunt isn’t just about crossing the finish line first to score points for your team’s color—it’s the chaos of what people have to borrow that gets the crowd going.

“Ooh, what’s this!? A teacher’s glasses!? And over there—someone’s snagging the student council president’s gym uniform! That’s brutal—yank it off! Go harder! Oh, and look at that! The vice-principal’s hat! Poor guy’s been lamenting his thinning hair, and now it’s all out in the open!”

Is that announcer getting too carried away? Still, everyone—students and teachers alike—seems in on the joke, waving to the crowd with big grins. Guess it’s all good.

“My turn!” Sota says. “Here I go!”

“Crush it!” I call back.

Sota lines up at the starting line, facing off against two athletic beasts from the sports clubs. Going head-to-head, he’s toast, so it all comes down to pulling an easy task he can grab quick.

“What’s he got?” I mutter.

Sota snatches his task slip and bolts—toward his aunt? She looks stunned but grabs his hand, and they take off running. Guess his task was family.

“Family, huh…” I muse. “What if I get that one?”

Grandpa and Grandma are my only family here, but no way they’re up for running. Gotta pray I dodge that task.

Thanks to his aunt’s quick start, Sota crosses the finish line in first.

“Next group, line up!”

My turn.

I step to the starting line, waiting for the pistol’s crack. Amid the crowd’s noise, I hear Arisa, Aina, Sota, and Kaito cheering me on.

“Ready… Start!”

Bang! The pistol fires, and I’m off, sprinting neck-and-neck with a junior and a senior to the task box. Please, nothing weird, I pray, snatching a slip.

“Huh!?”

“What the hell is this!?”

Screams erupt from the guys beside me, but my slip reads—family.

“…Now what?”

It’s not a tough task—hell, it’s almost too easy. But points don’t matter here. I’ll grab Grandpa and take it slow, let him soak in the moment.

Decision made, I jog to the spectator tent where Grandpa and the others are cheering.

“Hayato?” Grandpa says.

“What’s up?” Grandma asks.

“So, uh…” I show them the slip.

They nod, getting it instantly.

“Well, well! That’s why you’re here? Alright, I’ll—” Grandpa starts to stand but clutches his lower back. “Oof!”

He must’ve tweaked his back trying to stand too fast. Come on, old man.

“Ugh, I might be out for this one… Guess it’s up to Sakuna-san, then?”

“Eh!? Me!?” Sakuna-san squeaks.

“Fufu, can we count on you?” Grandma asks.

Sakuna-san stands, looking nervous. It’s not like she’s against it, more like she’s unsure if she’s the right fit for this.

“Sakuna-san, let’s go,” I say.

“Ah… okay!”

If she’s hesitating, I’ll just take the lead. I grab her hand, her shy smile lighting up, and we jog onto the field—not too fast, keeping it steady.

Well, crap. Now the whole world knows I’ve got a gorgeous mom figure by my side.

“Give it your all!”

“Fight, fight~!”

Arisa and Aina’s cheers hit us as we pass, their voices booming. Sakuna-san, who’d been tense the whole time, softens at her daughters’ encouragement, her grip on my hand tightening.

“Almost there, Sakuna-san.”

“Y-Yes!”

We cross the finish line, no sweat. Even though it’s a scavenger hunt, tasks like mine and Sota’s—borrowing a person—get the crowd roaring with applause. Sakuna-san gives a shy bow in response.

“Phew… thanks, Sakuna-san.”

“No, no, if I was any help… But—” She pauses, still looking uncertain.

“Still worried about it, Mom?”

“Hayato-kun!” she huffs, but her smile is radiant as she lightly nudges my shoulder.

I escort her back to the tent, where Grandpa and Grandma shower us with cheers. I plop down next to Sota.

“Good work,” he says.

“Yeah.”

I glance at Arisa and Aina, who wave enthusiastically when our eyes meet. I wave back but can’t help wondering how it looked to everyone else—me running with Sakuna-san. Their friends probably know she’s their mom, so… eh, no point overthinking it.

“Yo, was that… their mom?” Sota asks.

“Yup.”

“…She’s way too hot, man.”

“Right?” I grin, puffing out my chest like I’ve got any right to.

“Why’re you acting all proud?” Sota snorts.

“‘Cause she’s like a mom to me too.”

“Fair enough. Nothing weird about that.”

“Yeah.”

Sota and Kaito—they’re good guys, always quick to get it, always kind.

But as I stare at Sota, he blushes and stammers, “H-Hey, quit staring like that! I ain’t into that kinda thing!”

Pfft!” I give him a light smack. “That’s not what I meant, dumbass.”

We keep cheering for the others while bantering. Some kids scramble for their items, others flounder hilariously, unable to find what they need. The scavenger hunt wraps up with a wild burst of excitement.

“Welcome back,” Arisa says as I return to our team’s area.

“What was your task?” Aina asks.

“Family. Thought about taking Grandpa, but he tweaked his back, so I grabbed Sakuna-san last minute.”

“I see. Mom looked thrilled,” Arisa says.

“Yup! She seemed so happy with you pulling her along! ♪” Aina adds.

She looked nervous to me, but if they say so, I’ll take it.

“Alright, our turn!” Aina says.

“Yup… phew, getting a little nervous,” Arisa admits.

Next up is the obstacle course, their event.

“You got this, both of you. I’ll be cheering my lungs out,” I say.

“Thanks!” Aina chirps.

“You bet!” Arisa nods.

They clench their fists, pumped, and head to the entrance gate.

The scavenger hunt had three runners per race, but the obstacle course pits six—two from each color. Last year was… chaotic, to say the least. Fights broke out—tripping, hair-pulling, the works. Hopefully, this year’s smoother.

“Next up, the obstacle course! All participants, please enter the field!”

The runners line up on the field. The obstacle course is co-ed but split by gender for fairness, so no mixed chaos.

The first six—guys—take their places, and it’s go time.

“Here we go with the obstacle course! It’s a lap around the field, but you’ve gotta clear four obstacles to reach the finish line! No cheating—make sure you get the clear signal before moving on!”

The announcer’s hyped as ever as the runners tackle the obstacles:

  • Crawling under a net.
  • Spinning around a bat, then running a set distance.
  • Grabbing bread dangling from a string with your mouth.
  • Hopping in a sack race.

Some breeze through, others… not so much. Feet get tangled in nets, kids collapse from dizzy bat spins, some can’t snag the bread, and others wipe out mid-sack jump. It’s a mess, but the laughter never stops—a total crowd-pleaser.

“Here they come,” I say.

“Girls’ turn…” Sota adds.

Our spot’s right by the net-crawling area, so we’ll be close enough to cheer Arisa and Aina loud and clear.

Will last year’s chaos repeat? With that tension in the air, the first group of girls takes off.

Six of them swarm the net, lifting it to crawl under. No major drama this time, thank goodness—no hair-pulling or sabotage like last year. But the guys watching? Their stares are… well, let’s just say they’re very teenage.

“Whoa…!”

“Damn…!”

The girls’ race goes smoothly—no bloodbaths, just some getting tangled in the net, which sparks roars from the guys in the crowd.

“Raaaah!”

“Go for it! Keep going!”

“…This is hopeless,” I mutter.

What a bunch of idiots… And now, it’s finally Arisa and Aina’s turn.

With each team sending two runners, the sisters get to race side by side, fighting together on the field.

Bang! The pistol cracks, and all six girls sprint forward. Arisa and Aina take the lead, diving into the net first.

“Arisa! Aina! You got this!” I yell.

“Shinjo sisters! Kick some ass!” Sota hollers.

“Go, go, gooo!” Kaito shouts.

It’s not just me—Sota and Kaito are screaming their lungs out too.

Arisa’s all focus, crawling forward like her life depends on it. Aina, though, seems to have some wiggle room—she glances our way, winks, and rockets through the net with terrifying speed.

They clear it without slowing down, but a senior and a junior get tangled up behind them, creating a chaotic mess. I barely notice, though—my eyes are glued to Arisa and Aina.

“C’mon, let’s chase after ‘em to cheer, but stay outta the field,” I say to Sota and Kaito, already breaking into a run.

The rules let us move along the sidelines to cheer as long as we don’t step onto the field. Their friends are doing the same, so we tag along.

The sisters breeze through the dizzy bat obstacle and hit the bread-eating station next. They’re way ahead of the pack—unless they trip up, first and second place are theirs for the taking.

Or so I thought, until I see it.

“Whoa…!” Sota gasps.

“This is…” Kaito mutters, frozen.

I’m stunned too, staring at the same thing they are.

Arisa and Aina, bouncing up and down to nab the dangling bread. And when two girls with insanely good figures jump like that… yeah, their still-growing, massive chests are bouncing like crazy.

“Goddamn, Arisa and Aina…” I mutter.

“Those things are jiggling…” Sota says.

“Don’t struggle, you two! …Wait, no, keep struggling—it’s a feast for the eyes!” Kaito adds.

It’s not just the guys—the girls in the crowd are hyped too.

I’m a little annoyed, but deep down, my inner caveman’s going hell yeah at the sight, so I’m no better than the rest of these clowns.

Ugh! Come on!” Aina grunts.

Tch… This is tougher than it looks!” Arisa huffs.

Struggling and bouncing… no, wait, bouncing while struggling—ugh, what am I even saying?

Their jiggling chests are frying my brain. Chill, Hayato.

I take a deep breath to calm down just as both sisters snag their bread at the same time and hop toward the sack race.

“Nee-san, keep it up! Don’t burn out yet!” Aina calls.

“I’m not that fragile! Save your worrying!” Arisa snaps back.

“But you’re already panting!”

“Shut it!”

The bread station slowed them down, and the others are closing in. But Aina’s teasing seems to light a fire under Arisa—she picks up speed, hopping through the sack race like a woman possessed.

“More bouncing!” Sota yells.

“Hell yeah!” Kaito cheers.

“Would you two just cheer normally!?” I snap.

“How’s that not normal? Ignoring that would be rude!” Kaito retorts.

“…Why am I the one getting yelled at? I get it, though,” I grumble, nodding in agreement.

Arisa and Aina keep hopping toward the finish line, their sacks making every jump even wilder. I don’t let up on cheering, though.

In the end—Aina takes first, Arisa second.

With two runners per team, snagging the top spots means big points for our red team. Their friends are practically bouncing with joy.

“Man… that was something,” Sota says.

“Total eye candy,” Kaito adds.

“You guys have some nerve saying that in front of me,” I mutter.

What a pair of clowns… but yeah, I’m not exactly innocent either.

Still, I give them both a light chop to the head, and we head back to our team’s area.

We keep cheering as the obstacle course wraps up, and soon Arisa and Aina return.

“Good work,” I say.

“Yup,” Arisa replies.

“Ehehe~ We both nabbed the top spots! ♪” Aina chirps.

Technically first and second, but yeah, the Shinjo sisters dominated. They raise their hands for a high-five, flashing big smiles, and I meet them with one of my own.

“Thanks for the cheers, Miyanaga-kun and Aojima-kun! ♪” Aina says.

“Your voices really came through,” Arisa adds.

“Glad you heard us!” Sota grins.

“Yeah, we were fired up cheering too!” Kaito says.

I’ll keep their pervy stares to myself for now.

Noticing their sweat, I hand them towels. They grab my hands, pulling me away from the team area.

They lead me to the back of the gym, a shady, cool spot with no one around. The second we’re there, Aina launches herself at me.

“Bam!” she giggles, hugging me.

“Whoa,” I catch her.

“Ehehe! ♪”

Guess she was itching for this. They’re sweaty from the race, but I don’t care one bit.

“Just for a bit, I wanna stay like this,” Aina says.

“Wouldn’t mind chilling like this for a while either,” I reply.

“They’re cleaning up the obstacle course stuff, so we’ve got a few minutes,” Arisa says.

Probably five minutes, tops. They cheered for me during my event, so it’s only fair I return the favor. Plus, ditching them now would be kinda shitty.

“Hey, let’s sit over there!” Aina says.

At her urging, I sit down, sandwiched between them. The scent of sweat on them is… honestly, amazing. Not everyone pulls it off, but Arisa and Aina’s fragrance is almost too sweet. A light breeze makes it even more intense—this is the best seat in the house.

“Mmm? I’m getting naughty vibes from Hayato-kun!” Aina teases.

“Oh, really?” Arisa raises an eyebrow.

“Huh? I mean… I was just thinking you two smell nice,” I stammer.

“Aw, not that naughty, huh?” Aina pouts.

“You jump to conclusions too fast,” Arisa scolds.

Guess thinking they smell good doesn’t count as naughty.

They scoot closer, and suddenly—smooch—they both kiss my cheeks, the sound echoing softly. Even after, their eyes stay locked on mine.

They’re waiting for me to return the favor, and I’m all in. Their eyes are already closed, ready, so I kiss their lips.

“…Huh, tastes like sports drink,” I mutter.

They were chugging some for hydration earlier, after all.

The air turns sultry, sweet, and totally inappropriate for a school sports festival.

“…Arisa, Aina—you’re mine. My everything.”

Maybe it’s the mood, or something else, but I know why I said it. I’m jealous. Those lustful stares during the obstacle course, aimed at my girls—I want to claim them, make it clear they’re mine alone.

“Exactly. We’re yours,” Arisa says.

“Yup! ♪ Me and Nee-san are your girls, Hayato-kun,” Aina adds.

They see right through me, their expressions turning seductive, radiant with allure.

“…”

Mmm… ♪” Aina hums.

Ah… ♪” Arisa sighs.

Those looks, combined with my jealousy, make it impossible to hold back. My hands slide to their chests, gently but firmly pressing against their gym uniforms, soaked with sweat. My fingers sink into the soft, pliable sensation—squish—and a devilish voice in my head whispers, Go ahead, indulge.

“Arisa, Aina… even if it’s just for a moment, I wanna feel you more.”

I want to revel in their curves, their warmth. How? By slipping behind them, wrapping my arms around both, holding them close.

In moments like this, I feel like an arrogant king, basking in their affection.

“I love the gentle Hayato-kun… but I also love this side, burning with jealousy, craving me so fiercely. ♪”

“No need to worry at all! But I love this—being marked as yours, feeling it in every fiber of my body. ♪” Aina says.

Their lips turn toward me, pulling me in like a magnet. We stay pressed together, kissing fiercely, devouring each other.

We’re all rational enough to know our limits. This is school, and we’ve only got a brief window. If we were at home or had more time, this would definitely escalate, but for now, we’re pouring every ounce of love we can into this moment while keeping it in check.

“Your body’s… so warm. ♡” Aina murmurs.

“How could it not be? ♡” Arisa replies.

“You two are way too sexy,” I say.

It’s obvious, but it slips out anyway. They give me a duh look but dive back in, tongues tangling in an even deeper kiss.

Here’s the thing: it’s not just rationality keeping us grounded. The lingering taste of sports drink in their mouths is doing some heavy lifting too. Amid this sweet, heated moment, with intense kisses and my hands on their chests, that sports drink flavor stands out, grounding us in the absurdity of it all.

We burst into giggles at the same time, just as an announcement signals the next event.

“Ugh, already?” Aina whines.

“No helping it. I wanted Hayato-kun to have his way with me more…” Arisa sighs.

“Nee-san, you’re not even hiding it anymore,” Aina teases.

“Says you? I’m just being honest,” Arisa retorts.

Aina’s not exactly subtle either.

“I’m hitting the bathroom, then I’ll catch up!” Aina says, dashing off.

“See ya,” I call.

Arisa leans in closer, her playful smile replaced by that sultry look again, far too seductive for heading back to the festival.

“Hey, Hayato-kun… you can do more of what you like, you know.”

“…Uh.”

“What do you want?” she asks, spreading her arms, inviting me.

“How about another round with these big ones?” she teases.

Snap. Something in me breaks. I know I shouldn’t, but I’m still holding back… mostly.

“…Can we keep going a bit?” I ask.

“Of course. ♪”

I bury my face in Arisa’s chest, letting her sweet scent flood my senses, sinking into the soft bounce against my face. I press closer, craving more.

“Fufu. ♪ It’s a long day, so we need to store up all this motivation,” she says.

“It’s sparking a different kind of motivation…” I mutter.

“That’s fine by me,” she purrs.

“…”

Arisa, you do know we’re still at school, right?

If we linger and Aina notices, she’ll know we were up to something. But Arisa’s not letting me go, trapping me in this web of sweet pheromones, like a spider refusing to release her prey.

“Satisfied yet? Want to slip under my gym uniform, feel everything directly? Touch, nibble, anything you want—I’m yours, your girl.”

“…”

For a while longer, I lose myself in Arisa’s warmth.

It feels like so much has happened already, but the sports festival’s just getting started.
