To all the readers who have picked up this work. It has been a while; I am Squid. Thanks to all of your support, I was able to successfully release Volume 2. I am truly delighted to be able to deliver the continuation of Kaede and the others' story to you all once again.

I never thought I would be able to release a sequel like this. When the offer for Volume 2 came from my editor, I seriously thought, 'Is this a dream?' But it turned out to be reality, and after overcoming various difficulties, I am very happy to meet you all here in the afterword.

In this Volume 2, there were truly a lot of events: the protagonist Kaede acquiring his Silver License, appearing in a student event, and interactions with the four heroines—Yua, Rin, Rina, and Anju—as well as new troubles, and so on.

Like Kaede, I actually started working as a new member of society this fiscal year and have been experiencing various things I couldn't experience as a student.

I'm still living at home, so I haven't experienced the hardships of living alone, but I've had so many things happen that I wonder if I would even be alive if I had started living alone.

When I was a student, it was during the COVID-19 pandemic, and for some reason, I was semi-forced to be on the organizing committee, so I couldn't participate as a guest. But I finally went to my alma mater's school festival.

I truly felt, 'So this is what a real school festival is like,' and I thoroughly enjoyed it with my friends, feeling genuinely excited. I enjoyed being on the organizing side too, but participating as a guest has a different kind of fun.

Besides enjoying various events, I was also able to visit food stalls with my friends, eating things I only ever eat at these kinds of life events, which was deeply moving.

Because of all these things, I was honestly quite busy while working on the various tasks for the publication of Volume 2, and it was truly tough. I experienced various hardships with the 'author's proofreading' that I also did for Volume 1, and the editing work that accounted for the differences from the web version. But all of this was to deliver this Volume 2 to all of you. I reflected deeply after being thoroughly beaten by my own inexperience, and I am now able to welcome the release date safely.

Once again, to my editor, who provided various support, including suggestions for corrections.

To the text operator, who designed the body text to be easy to read, and the designer, who created the beautiful cover.

To the printing company, who brought this work to a form that can reach your hands once more. And to the illustrator, Herigaru-sama, who continued to draw wonderful illustrations of Kaede and the others from Volume 1.

Thanks to all of your efforts, I was able to complete Volume 2.

What is it, you ask? Well, guess what! A comic adaptation project is currently underway!

Everyone, please look forward to it! Kaede and the others will finally start moving in comic form! Following the book publication, the comic adaptation is truly like a dream. Finally, I want to say that this is all thanks to everyone who picked up this work, and I am truly grateful.

If possible, I will continue to work hard on writing so that the continuation of this story can also be safely released, so please continue to support me. Well then, everyone, thank you for reading this far. I hope to see you again in Volume 3.
