Chapter 5: I used to think that ignoring bullies was the best approach... (continued below)
The first day of school ended with the entrance ceremony held at the campus ceremonial hall. The ceremony itself wasn't particularly noteworthy.
If there was anything on my mind... first, there was Elise. She had been glancing at me frequently during the ceremony. What was that all about? Could she actually have developed a strong interest in me?
No, that was impossible. In that case, there was only one answer: she was looking at Lumiere, who was standing right next to me. After all, my sister was ranked second in our grade. Elise was likely keeping a close eye on someone who could potentially take her throne. That cleared up one question. I was sure Elise wasn't a problem.
And I probably didn't need to worry about that presence, either. During the ceremony, the faculty were introduced, and among them was a mysterious character who hadn't appeared in the original game. A red-haired beauty who was introduced as the strongest mage of the modern era.
Her appearance was extremely provocative, as if she were showing off her outstanding figure. Her expression spoke of an overwhelming self-confidence.
If I were the original Alvart, I’d probably be thinking about crushing her pride and turning her into a sex slave through thorough, pleasurable training. However, I had no interest in her... or rather, it would be extremely dangerous to have an interest.
She was likely an original character created by the Correction Force. If I were to show interest in someone like that, the Correction Force would surely guide me toward the erotic side of things, and in the end, I’d head straight for a "Go to Hell" bad ending like the original game. Therefore, I decided to ignore any non-original game characters.
As long as I remained unrelated and uninterested, they shouldn't pose a threat to me. So, I deliberately chose not to even remember her name.
...Anyway.
After the ceremony, I followed the guide to the dorms and entered my room. As expected of a place for the nobility, the interior was incredibly lavish. After checking the room, I turned to my sister, who was standing right beside me.
“...Don't you need to check your own room?” I asked.
“No! It is Lumi’s duty to remain by Onii-sama’s side!” she chirped.
She acted like a submissive attendant, but I wasn't fooled. She was definitely looking for a chance to stab me in the back 24/7. Naturally, I wanted to keep as much distance as possible from her, but... well, that was probably impossible. Mostly thanks to the Correction Force.
“...I’m going to the library to study and prepare, but what about you?”
“Of course! I’m going with you!”
“...Just don't get in my way.”
With that command, I left the room with my sister. The library was located within the dormitory complex and boasted a considerable collection of books. My reason for going there wasn't just for study; it was also to confirm the settings of this world.
Even though I was a player of the original game and had a rough idea of the setting... the world had been significantly distorted by that piece of shit known as the Correction Force. There was a high possibility that most of the world-building was currently unknown to me. If I ignored those elements, I might end up paying a heavy price later, so I intended to use the library to grasp the situation.
It would be the absolute worst if it were already too late, though.
Well, in any case, I entered the library with Lumiere and selected some books based on my gut feeling. I carried them to a table and immediately began to check the contents—
“Zesphiria-kun~? Studying on the very first day? How diligent~!”
An unpleasant voice reached my ears. When I looked up, several male students were standing there.
“But you know... no matter how hard you try, you're not in her league. You and Elise, I mean.”
It was a boy who looked like a textbook bully. Apparently, my interaction with Elise before the ceremony had earned his ire. I had no idea what part of that was supposed to make him angry, but... regardless, his cronies chimed in immediately after.
“Seriously, how pathetic.”
“No matter how hard a commoner works, he’ll never be a genius.”
“We’re telling you this for your own good, so just drop out already, okay?”
How do I put this... this is clearly a Correction Force event, isn't it? I was supposed to unilaterally crush these unpleasant bullies, show off my true power to everyone, and use that as the starting point for a "success story." Naturally, beautiful girls would then flock to me, leading to an incredible harem. They would then make R-18 approaches at every opportunity, and I wouldn't be able to resist the temptation... leading to a gruesome end.
Since I could see that flow coming, naturally, I—
“Hey, Onii-sama. Can I just kill these guys?” Lumiere asked.
I felt a slight flicker of agitation at her words. She sounded like she was on my side... but I wasn't fooled. She probably just didn't like the idea of someone else taking her role as my tormentor. Naturally, I couldn't allow her to have her way.
“Do nothing, Lumiere. The best thing to do with people like this is to ignore them,” I said.
“...If that’s what you say, Onii-sama, then I shall obey,” she muttered. She sounded reluctant, but she gave a nod.
After confirming that, I looked at the boys and spoke calmly.
“From my perspective, you people are irrelevant. So I don't care what you say or do. Do as you like. I intend to do the same.”
My answer to this Correction Force event was absolute, total avoidance.
“You little—!”
The aggressive shout was cut off before it could even finish. Having cast Cognition-Inhibiting Magic on myself, my ears no longer registered anything from them. In addition, I deployed a defensive barrier around me to shut out any physical interference with my studies. Furthermore, I cast a Concentration spell so that I wouldn't have even the slightest interest in anything other than reading the books.
As a result, I transformed into a flawless "input monster." After finishing the mountain of books and completing my understanding of the world... I assumed everyone would be gone by now and deactivated all the spells.
The moment I did, an incredible surge of pleasure hit my body.
“~~~~~~~~~~?!”
I was stunned. Shocked. Confused. As a massive amount of thought raced through my mind regarding this incomprehensible physical state, the one responsible for this intense sensation spoke up.
“Hehe... ♥ In the end, you didn't even acknowledge me until the very last second... ♥”
A beautiful voice came from beneath the table. Why was she there? And why—
Why was she squeezing my "important part" between her voluptuous breasts?
I didn't understand. I didn't understand at all... but there was no doubt that this was a dangerous situation.
“Nn, hng... ♥ You don't have to hold back, boy... ♥ Act like you’re trying to get my breasts pregnant... and just let it all out... ♥”
Bad. Bad, bad, bad, bad, bad. I had no idea what had happened leading up to this, but in any case, this had to be judged as a "passive R-18 development" that occurred while I was unconscious. But everything from here on out would be different.
“There, there... ♥ There, there, there, there, there... ♥”
The red-haired beauty was relentlessly attacking me with a rhythmic motion. If I were to blast everything onto her beautiful white face and crimson hair... it would be judged as an active acceptance of an R-18 development, in exchange for incredible pleasure.
If that happened, my life would be a guaranteed bad ending. That was why—
“Nuuh, ooh... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!”
I snapped my left index finger in the opposite direction. Using the incredible pain generated by that act to cancel out the pleasure the woman was giving me... I jumped backward and created distance from her.
“Heh... not bad.”
The red-haired woman rose from beneath the table and glared at me. While meeting her gaze, I looked around the room... and the moment I grasped the situation, I whispered unconsciously.
“...What the hell happened here?”
The place was a mess. The interior of the library looked like it had been turned into a battlefield. And for some reason, the bullies were nowhere to be seen.
For some reason, Lumiere looked like she was in the middle of a massive heat.
And for some reason—the strongest mage of the current era was standing before me. She narrowed her jewel-like eyes with interest and looked at me.
“Hey, boy. ...Say my name.”
She had a smile on her lips, but a sharp look in her eyes. Faced with her, I felt a strong sense of agitation.
Name. Her name.
...This was bad. As part of my plan to avoid involvement, I had deliberately chosen not to remember it. But now, that choice was biting me in the ass.
“............ (Sweat)”
I desperately searched my memory. But it was no use. Before I could remember, she spoke.
“Ahahaha! That’s it! So even I, Linslet Freanain, am outside the realm of your interest!”
She announced her own name, and then... she delivered the most terrible line possible.
“...I like you, boy. You're interesting. I’ve taken a liking to you.”
I couldn't even manage a response. For now, I just had to get out of here. Nothing good would come of staying.
“...I shall take my leave now. Miss Freanain.”
I walked away as fast as I could. She didn't try to stop me, but instead, she threw some words at my back.
“Your class, you see? I’ll be the one in charge of it. So let's enjoy at least a year of school life together, shall we? Alvart Zesphiria-kun, the one who snubbed me so thoroughly?”
Her voice was somewhat seductive, but deep down, I felt an irrepressible passion within it. Ah, it was already over. I had been completely targeted.
“Hey, Onii-sama... ♥ That thing has gotten so big, so we have to... calm it down, right...? ♥”
My sister was saying something next to me, but I didn't care.
...I had only ignored the bullies. They were supposed to give up on me and leave. After that, they might have messed with me a little, but it shouldn't have been a problem. That was how it was supposed to end—
“────How did it come to this?”
