Chapter 3: And Yet Another Falls for the Villain’s Charm

“Was that really okay?”

Once we were inside and settled, I couldn’t help but ask Erika.

She’s kind—too kind. I wanted to respect her choice, but after seeing Saionji, her approach felt way too soft.

“Well… I’m not totally sure myself, but I think it hit him hard, at least this time.”

“If it didn’t, that guy’s got a steel-plated ego.”

“Haha…”

Erika’s laugh was weak, tinged with uncertainty.

All I knew about her and Saionji was that their engagement was arranged by their parents. Beyond that, it’s their business, not mine.

If that’s the case, it’s not my place to say more. I can help, but the decision’s hers alone.

“If he tries anything again, just call me. I’ll come running, no matter where I am.”

“Akio-kun, you’re so reliable… Thanks.”

Her quiet gratitude carried the weight of her heart.

“And if anything happens, we’ve got this video. If he’s too dumb to get it, we don’t need to hold back, right?”

Himari waved her phone proudly, chest puffed out. That gesture in her thin summer clothes was a little too much for the eyes.

“Yeah. I was shocked he’d stoop to such pushy tactics, but thanks to that, we’ve got solid leverage.”

Erika held up her own phone, and the two exchanged a sly grin.

“S-Sorry… I didn’t even think about gathering evidence… All I could think about was keeping that Saionji guy away from Erika-san…”

Haya’s shoulders slumped, her blonde side-tail looking as deflated as she sounded. Is her hair tied to her mood or something?

“It’s okay, Haya-chan. Don’t worry about it.”

“Yeah, Himuro-chan, I want you to stay just the way you are.”

“Huh? What?”

Haya blinked in confusion as Erika and Himari enveloped her in a hug, her eyes darting back and forth.

Those two, acting on instinct and still managing to secure evidence, were impressive as hell. Thinking it through is one thing, but actually doing it in the heat of the moment? That’s not easy.

But Haya, jumping in first to protect Erika? That’s just as amazing. According to them, it was her quick action that gave them the chance to think calmly and record.

“Stay pure forever, Haya-chan.”

“Good girl, good girl~♪”

“W-Wait! Himarin, where are you touching…? And Erika-san, stop petting me like I’m a kid!”

Haya squirmed under their affection, but her blonde side-tail seemed to bounce back with newfound energy.

“…Talk about a sight for sore eyes.”

I quietly soaked in the view of the three girls messing around.

◇ ◇ ◇

Erika was packing her things, though she hadn’t brought much to begin with.

“You’re really heading back already?”

“Yeah. I planned to stay longer, but with that video of Takeru-san, I think I can negotiate with my parents. The sooner I talk to them, the better, right?”

“Thanks to Takeru-san,” Erika added with a cheerful smile, though it quickly faded.

“And… I don’t want to keep this phone anymore. My other stuff might be bugged too… I just want to get rid of it all.”

She gripped her phone tightly, looking like she’d smash it to bits if it weren’t for the evidence on it.

“Will you miss me when I’m gone, Akio-kun?”

Her teasing tone was playful, but I kept my cool.

“If it means solving your problem, that’s what matters. Don’t worry about me.”

“Worry? I mean, won’t you get lonely without some company? You know, if I stayed, I could… take care of you anytime.”

“Pfft!?”

Her unexpected comment made me choke. What’s this refined lady worrying about now?

“Don’t worry, Erika-san. If it comes to that, I’ll stay over and take care of Akio-kun.”

“What the hell, Himari!?”

Take care of what part of me!? My girls are way too ready for action… Not that I’m complaining!

“Aki… If you can’t hold back, you can… use my body…”

“Stop with the shy come-ons, they hit way too hard!”

Haya, fighting her embarrassment, looked up at me with glistening eyes, offering herself. That mix of shame and determination? Damn, it’s effective!

“…But, you know, it might not be safe here.”

“Huh?”

Erika’s voice dropped, and she gave me an apologetic look.

“Takeru-san knows you live here now. He probably thinks you’re just hanging out with friends, but given time, who knows what he’ll assume?”

“You mean he thinks girls staying over at a guy’s place is just for fun?”

Haya’s question got a firm nod from Erika.

“Takeru-san’s always going on about how ‘I’m different from those lowlifes,’ so his mindset’s pretty out there. Maybe it’s how he was raised, but he’s kind of clueless about… intimate stuff.”

“Wait, is he a virgin?”

Himari’s blunt question got an even bigger nod.

“Based on how he acts, I’d say so, though I haven’t asked directly.”

That’s why, Erika continued.

“If he ever realizes I might be… involved with you, Akio-kun, he could lose it and do something crazy.”

““Oh…””

Erika apologized softly. Haya and Himari let out sounds of complete understanding.

The way Saionji showed up so casually makes it scarier to think what he’d do if he snapped. A guy like that, unpredictable and unhinged, is the worst kind of trouble.

“So, it might not be safe to stay here. Until my situation’s sorted, I think you should crash somewhere else, Akio-kun.”

“Got it. If you’re warning me, I’ll listen.”

I patted Erika’s head reassuringly, her silky blue hair soft under my hand.

“Thanks, Akio-kun… I’m sorry for all the trouble…”

“Don’t sweat it. Protecting my girls? Never a hassle.”

“…Yeah.”

Erika threw herself into my chest, her warmth spreading through me. She’s older, but so small compared to me—it hit me again how delicate she is.

Still, what now?

Sad to say, Akio Gouda doesn’t have any guy friends close enough to crash with.

An emergency hideout… Should’ve planned for this.

“Hmm… I’d love to let you stay at my place, Akio-kun, but my parents would never agree.”

“Same… My place is too small anyway…”

That’s the normal reaction. Any parent would flip if their daughter brought home a scary-looking guy like me. That’s just love.

A hotel, then? That’d cost a fortune. Maybe a manga café… but can this huge body even sleep there?

While I was mulling it over, Himari was making a call.

“Yeah, could you help out? You’ve got plenty of space… Yup, yup… Heh, thanks!”

She hung up and flashed me a bright smile.

“Good news, Akio-kun. I found you a place to stay. Free of charge.”

“No way? That’s awesome. Where?”

Himari puffed out her chest proudly and told me.

“My super reliable best friend’s place!♪”

◇ ◇ ◇

After seeing Erika off, I headed to the hospital. Akio Gouda’s fighting instincts had deflected most of the damage, but getting pummeled by a grown man? Better get checked, just in case.

No visible injuries, but if there’s any damage, it’s assault with injury. If not, it’s still assault. If Saionji tries anything else, I’ll make sure he faces the consequences.

“Aki… You’re really okay?”

“Yeah. Not a scratch on this pristine body.”

Even after getting back from the hospital, Haya was still fretting. Overprotective much? Not that I mind.

“Thank goodness~ Getting checked out makes me feel better~ I’m so glad you’re okay…”

She threw herself at me, sobbing like I’d just survived major surgery.

“You packed my stuff?”

“Yup. It’s all in this bag.”

She handed me a stuffed Boston bag. While I was at the hospital, Haya had packed enough for a few days away.

Just to be safe, I’d stay away from home until Erika’s situation was resolved.

With Akio Gouda’s cheat-level body, I could probably handle most things, but my girls are worried about me.

No need to brush off their concern. I’m not that much of a jerk.

“Himarin’s taking forever. She said it was all set.”

“Probably needs time to prep on their end.”

Himari had gone ahead to the place I’d be staying, helping them get ready to host me.

We were waiting for her to come back. After my shift, the Saionji mess, and the hospital visit, it was getting dark despite the long summer days.

Is Himari okay? I’m not complaining—I’m the one imposing—but with everything going on, I can’t help but worry.

“Should I bring a gift or something?”

I threw it out there to calm my nerves. Then it hit me—showing up empty-handed to crash at someone’s place is kinda rude, right?

“She said not to worry about it. You don’t have to be so proper.”

“Easy for you to say.”

“Didn’t peg you for the type to sweat the small stuff, Akio. Why not just lean into it like a kid?”

Haya teased, patting my head. She was on her tiptoes, trembling with the effort.

“What if I do lean into it?”

“Fweh? Uh… w-well…”

I pulled her into a hug and whispered in her ear. Her ears turned bright red, and she shrank in my arms.

Hmm, getting spoiled by a blushing beauty? Tempting. Her reaction’s got me fired up. Alright, time to take responsibility.

As I leaned closer to Haya, and she closed her eyes to meet me—

“What’re you two up to while I’m gone, huh?”

““Ah.””

Perfect timing, a pink shadow returned. Himari’s grin stopped us in our tracks. Damn it.

◇ ◇ ◇

Kuroha Rino is Himari Shiratori’s best friend.

“P-Please… come in…”

Kuroha was trembling like a leaf. I’d forgotten, since we’d been getting along lately, but she’s got a shy personality.

Himari had brought us to Kuroha’s place—a fancy standalone house. Haya and I let out a dumb “Whoa~” in unison.

“Akio-kun, you’ll be staying at Rino-chan’s place tonight.”

“P-Pwease, make youwself at home!”

Prompted by Himari, Kuroha bowed with exaggerated enthusiasm, stumbling over her words. She didn’t seem to notice her slip-up.

“I’m grateful, but… you sure about this, Kuroha?”

Even if it’s a friend’s request, letting a guy like me stay over seems risky. Wouldn’t her parents freak out?

“I-It’s fine! My mom’s working late tonight and won’t be back…”

“She’s not coming home…?”

Isn’t that, like, worse?

Turns out, Kuroha had gotten her mom’s permission. Which makes me question her mom’s judgment.

I’d heard Kuroha’s dad isn’t around. Letting a guy stay over in a house with just your daughter? No normal parent would be okay with that.

“…Guess this world really isn’t normal.”

This kind of lax attitude toward chastity feels straight out of an adult manga. I’ve gotta accept it, or I’ll just wear myself out.

“Rino-chan, I’m leaving Akio-kun in your hands.”

“Y-Yes… Leave it to me!”

Himari let out a breath, like her job was done, and took Haya’s hand.

“We’re heading out. Akio-kun, Rino-chan, we’ll be back tomorrow!”

“Wait, we’re not staying?”

Haya’s surprised yelp echoed my own shock. I thought Haya and Himari would stay too.

“What’re you talking about, Haya-chan? Three people would be too much for Rino-chan. It’s rude to crash with a crowd, you know?”

Doesn’t it seem more outrageous to leave a teenage boy and girl alone under one roof?

If anything, having more girls around might make Kuroha feel safer. I glanced at her, but she seemed too nervous to even notice the situation.

“Look, I know it’s a hassle, but… is it really okay to leave me alone with her?”

“No problem at all. I trust Rino-chan completely. I know I can leave you in her hands.”

Shouldn’t you be trusting me here? Sure, Kuroha’s trustworthy, but what if I give in to temptation and make a move? You never know what might spark something between a guy and a girl.

“Well… if it’s Kuroha-san, I guess it’s fine,” Haya said, nodding in agreement.

She’s convinced just because Kuroha’s reliable? Come on, I’m the villain of an adult manga here!

“No, no, being alone with me’s gotta be terrifying for Kuroha. I thought you guys would stay too—”

“It’s not… scary!” Kuroha blurted out, her voice loud at first but trailing off. “Gouda-kun’s my friend, so…”

She’d heard the basics of our situation from Himari.

Since she sees me as a friend, she’s probably helping out by offering me a place to crash.

If Kuroha trusts me, then all I need to do is act in a way that doesn’t betray that trust.

“…Alright. I might need to stay a few days, so thanks for having me.”

“Yes! I’m not much, but please make yourself at home!”

Her word choice was a bit off, but pointing it out felt mean when she was clearly so nervous.

And so, tonight, it’d just be me and Kuroha alone together.

◆ ◆ ◆

Kuroha Rino is a plain girl. I know that better than anyone.

Guys don’t give me a second glance. I’ve learned that through experience, and that’s exactly why my heart aches for it.

“I want a boyfriend…”

Plain, shy, quiet—a walking bundle of passivity. Even someone like me, in the throes of teenage girlhood, has that kind of ordinary wish.

“Junpei-kun and I are going out now,” Himari-chan told me right after we started high school.

“Wow! Congrats, Himari-chan!”

I said the right words, but my cynical side crept in. Of course a beauty like Himari-chan would get a boyfriend so easily. I didn’t even notice she wasn’t as thrilled as I expected, too caught up in my own head.

I pretended to have no interest in boys, but deep down, I was insanely curious. Probably because I lost my dad when I was young. Never having that masculine strength in my life made me crave it all the more.

◇ ◇ ◇

“Gouda-kun, we’ve got the sports festival committee meeting right after school today, so let’s do our best, okay?”

“Sure thing. Looking forward to working with you.”

His tough-guy face broke into a pure smile, and my heart skipped a beat.

Gouda Akio. The school’s infamous delinquent. I used to be one of the kids terrified by his rough, violent vibe.

…But at some point, that scary aura just… vanished.

I’d heard about Gouda-kun from both Himari-chan and Nosaka-kun. Their takes were totally different, so I decided to get close to him to figure out the real Gouda-kun for my best friend’s sake.

I was shocked when the notorious delinquent volunteered for the sports festival committee.

And then, seeing him try to change himself? That blew me away even more.

At the committee meetings, he threw out ideas without hesitation and tackled the prep work seriously, never slacking. And during the festival itself… Gouda-kun was cool as hell.

“That gap is just unfair…”

“Kuroha? You okay, clutching your chest like that? If you’re feeling rough, I can take you to the nurse.”

“I-I’m fine! It’s nothing!”

“Uh, alright? As long as you’re good.”

And he’s kind, too. Despite his huge frame, he crouched down to check on me with such gentleness… My heart wouldn’t stop pounding.

I’ll confess: I was supposed to be sizing him up, but I fell for Gouda-kun.

But there’s no way I could tell him. I know I’m not attractive. The thought of confessing and losing his kindness terrified me.

“You know I like Akio-kun now. Is it so weird to make lunch for the guy you like to show him how you feel?”

…And then there’s Himari-chan.

She’s cute—everyone says so, and she knows it, too. She’s bold, openly flirting with Gouda-kun.

I could never do that… A plain girl like me? He wouldn’t even look my way. Plus, he’s the guy Himari-chan likes. I don’t have the guts to compete with her.

So I gave up. It’s what I always do. It shouldn’t hurt.

“I have to give up…”

But in bed, my feelings overflowed, soaking my pillow with tears.

I know it sounds silly, but I fall for guys pretty easily. No one seems to notice, so it probably doesn’t show on my face. My friends even think I’m not interested in romance.

My feelings flare up fast and fade just as quickly. Well, not fade—I just give up.

But this time, they wouldn’t cool off. I thought about why and realized it instantly.

“Gouda-kun smiles at me…”

It might seem trivial to others.

But to me, it shakes my world. Guys always treat me like an afterthought, and compared to how they act around Himari-chan, it feels like I’m not even a girl. So his smile? It means everything.

“I want him to keep smiling at me…”

My chest tightens.

If this love only brings pain and sadness, I need to let it go. Holding onto an unrequited crush will only hurt me more.

Summer break seemed like the perfect chance. If I didn’t see Gouda-kun for a while, my feelings would surely fade.

“You okay, Kuroha? Let me handle the heavy stuff. Stick to the lighter ones.”

“W-Wah!? Th-Thanks, Gouda-kun…”

…I thought that, but I ran into him right away.

I figured throwing myself into work would help me forget him faster. Never imagined we’d end up at the same summer job.

“Summer’s prime earning time, right? I wanna work a ton.”

I lied to cover my feelings. He probably doesn’t even suspect I’m struggling.

“Why’d you pick this job, Gouda-kun?”

“Pay’s good. Wanted some cash to hang out.”

“Haha, going out with Himari-chan, huh?”

“Yeah, something like that.”

I just tossed out a casual question, but his answer stabbed my heart.

Yeah… I knew… I already knew.

Gouda-kun and Himari-chan have been chatting more in class. It wouldn’t be surprising if they were dating.

“Maybe we can hang out sometime. Himari’d be stoked, too.”

“Sure, if we get the chance.”

He invited me with a smile, oblivious to how cruel it felt. My eyes stung, but my clunky glasses hid the tears.

◇ ◇ ◇

I managed to finish the summer job, thinking I’d avoid Gouda-kun for the rest of the break.

“We’re working together again, huh, Kuroha?”

“Guess we’ve got some kinda fate, huh?”

…But our jobs overlapped again.

Is this some divine test? Hey, God, show yourself—I wanna punch you.

This time, it was a traffic survey job, done in pairs. Sitting side by side with Gouda-kun, chatting calmly… it was fun.

I know he’s out of my reach, but talking to him made me so happy. I’m such a hopeless pushover.

“…So, Gouda-kun, who’s your real pick—Himari-chan or Himuro-san?”

Maybe it was the high of being near my crush or the summer heat loosening my tongue, but I asked him something rude.

I regretted it the second it left my mouth. But I was curious… and I didn’t take it back.

“Well, Himari and Haya are both pretty great.”

“Yeah, maybe you should just date both. Might be better for everyone.”

“…Huh?”

“Huh?”

…Wait, what did I just say?

Nooo! What the hell did I just blurt out!?

“Uh, Kuroha, you’re cool with that? Me dating both Himari and Haya?”

Look, he’s confused! God, I wanna crawl into a hole…

“Sure, some people might not like it, but there are guys at our school like that, right? I hear rich guys keep multiple girls, so if you’ve got the capacity to keep them happy, why not?”

I didn’t back down.

Two-timing… no, three-timing—whatever, I just want Gouda-kun to love me. My greedy heart was spouting nonsense, trying to break his morals.

I wasn’t lying… It’s a minority view, but it’s not a lie, right? Society accepts it, kinda.

◇ ◇ ◇

…I’m starting to think maybe I don’t have to fight this fate anymore.

After the traffic survey job, Himari-chan called. She asked if I could let Gouda-kun stay at my place.

“…What?”

My mind went blank, but my mouth agreed to let Gouda-kun stay over.

My heart was going crazy. Despite that, I calmly started cleaning.

Gouda-kun at my house!? When my mom’s busy with work!? When did my life turn into a manga!?

I cleaned the whole house, determined not to let a single speck of dirt show. I probably haven’t cleaned this thoroughly even for New Year’s.

Himari-chan showed up early to help prep a room for Gouda-kun.

“Rino-chan, I didn’t know you were such a clean freak. First time seeing this side of you.”

She said it so casually, bringing my crush to my house without a shred of caution!

“Sorry for the sudden imposition, Kuroha… You’re shaking. You okay?”

And then Himari-chan actually brought him… She really did it!

“Rino-chan, I’m leaving Akio-kun in your hands.”

Then she just left me alone with him, dragging Himuro-san along… leaving us truly alone.

I let Gouda-kun into the house. His big, sturdy body stepped inside. His huge frame in my home!

Maybe it was being indoors, but the scent of his sweat hit me.

Dizzy from the smell of the boy I like, I was already losing confidence in keeping myself in check.

◆ ◆ ◆

Himari and Haya really left. No more pink or blonde in sight. Kinda lonely.

“H-Here’s the living room… F-For now, I’ll get some tea, so, Gouda-kun, please r-relax on the sofa…”

It was just me and a visibly tense Kuroha now.

Her nerves were understandable. Even if it’s a friend’s request, living under one roof with a guy—especially a scary-looking, bulky one like me—is no small thing. Telling her not to be scared is asking the impossible.

“Pretty big house. I’m used to a cramped apartment, so this feels fresh.”

I tried to keep things light with a smile, then remembered—my Akio Gouda smile probably looks terrifying.

Kuroha’s letting me stay out of pure kindness, pushing past her fear of being alone with a guy to help a friend in need.

The least I can do is treat her with sincerity.

“I-I see…”

The conversation fizzled. Normally, Kuroha’s great at picking up on small talk, but she’s clearly on edge.

“So, uh, where should I sleep? I’m cool with the floor or whatever.”

Himari and the others will be back tomorrow. Keeping some distance might help Kuroha relax.

“Oh… I-I prepared a room for you, Gouda-kun… W-With bedding and everything…”

“Really? Thanks, that’s above and beyond.”

“N-No, it’s just me and my mom, so we have spare rooms…”

Honestly, with Kuroha working so many jobs and no dad around, I thought she might be struggling financially.

But this house? Definitely upper-middle class at least. I’ve only seen the entrance, hallway, living room, and kitchen, but it’s impressive.

And spotless, not a speck of dust. Cleaning a place this big with just two people must be a chore. Maybe they hire help?

“H-Here you go.”

“Thanks. You didn’t have to go to the trouble.”

She’d boiled water to make tea. Cold barley tea would’ve been fine for summer, but I didn’t want to sound demanding, so I kept quiet.

Being in someone else’s house is tricky. Even stepping into the kitchen feels like I need permission. Offering to help might just stress her out more.

The warm tea slid down my throat. It felt odd in the summer heat, but it warmed my stomach, calming me.

“Hehe.”

“Hm? What’s up, Kuroha?”

She was giggling next to me. Did I do something funny just by drinking tea?

“You looked so relieved when you drank it, Gouda-kun. It made me relax and laugh.”

“It was good. Plus, it’s kinda refreshing to get that kind of reaction.”

“Oh, sorry, I didn’t mean to laugh…”

“No, that’s not it.”

I took another sip, noticing my face soften.

“I know I’ve got a villainous mug, and people’s reactions confirm it. My smile usually scares folks, but you don’t seem fazed. That makes me happy.”

Yeah, happy.

Kuroha treats me like normal, laughing with me like a friend. No, not like—we are friends, and we can own that.

“R-Really…? I think your smile’s… c-cute.”

“Cute’s a bit of a stretch, don’t you think?”

“No, it’s cute! You don’t show it often, so it’s like… your purity’s all packed into it. You’ve got this mature vibe usually, but that boyish smile? The gap is just perfect!”

Kuroha leaned in, her words brimming with passion.

“I-Is that so?”

“It is!”

Her firm declaration almost convinced me.

“Haha… Getting my smile praised like that? Feels pretty good.”

“Ah, s-sorry, I got carried away…”

“No, you don’t need to apologize. I’m the one who should say thanks. I’m glad you think that way.”

“~~!?”

Kuroha shot up with a clatter, the room’s lighting glinting off her glasses, hiding her eyes.

“B-Bath! You’re gonna take a bath, right? I’ll get it ready, so please wait!”

“Uh, isn’t it kinda rude to use your bath…?”

“It’s fine! We worked together today, so being all sweaty is the real problem. A big problem!”

“Yeah, you’re right. Big problem.”

True, after everything today, I worked up a decent sweat. Smelling bad would definitely be a hassle for her.

Still, it feels wrong. If there were a public bath nearby, I’d head there, but no such luck.

Kuroha scurried out of the living room. It’s late already. Guess I’ll have to lean on her kindness tonight.

“You got a change of clothes?”

“Right here.”

I patted the Boston bag as she returned.

“I see… Then I’ll show you to your room while the bath’s filling.”

While the tub heated up, Kuroha led me to where I’d be staying.

Following her through the house, I couldn’t help but marvel. Compared to my cramped apartment, this place’s spacious hallways were a whole new world.

“H-Here’s your room, Gouda-kun…”

The room she showed me wasn’t even a storage closet. Just a plain six-tatami space with bedding laid out, nothing else.

“Huh, a Japanese-style room.”

“W-W-Would you have preferred a Western one!?”

“Nah, that’s not it. It just feels fresh, y’know?”

First time feeling tatami since I got reincarnated. There’s something calming about a Japanese room.

I set my bag in the corner. The place was spotless—no dust anywhere.

“Pretty clean.”

“Hweh!?”

“What’s wrong, Kuroha?”

“N-Nothing… It’s nothing at all!”

She fidgeted with her hair, clearly restless.

Must be tough, having a guy under her roof. How do I ease her nerves? I just want the usual Kuroha back.

“Um… d-dinner, right? You’ll eat?”

“Huh? Oh, yeah…”

Damn, I should’ve grabbed food earlier. With all the chaos, it slipped my mind.

My stomach growled right on cue, like it just remembered. Kuroha let out a soft giggle.

“It’s mostly ready. Let’s eat after you’re done with your bath.”

“You’re doing way too much for me.”

“Himari-chan asked me to, so I’m gonna take care of you… thoroughly.”

Kuroha was brimming with determination. Her friend’s request clearly meant a lot. Girl friendships are something else.

If I keep refusing, it might make her feel worse.

“Alright, I’ll take you up on that. Thanks, Kuroha.”

“Leave it to me!”

She let out a huff through her nose. I’d been trying not to impose, but maybe letting her help out a bit was the way to go.

◇ ◇ ◇

Taking a bath in someone else’s house is kinda awkward. Especially knowing it’s a high school girl’s bath…

That’s my old-world thinking, though. Akio Gouda’s mentality didn’t flinch. Wish I could react a bit more like a teenage boy—y’know, with some charm—but nah.

“Phew~”

Washing off and soaking in the tub, the day’s fatigue melted away, a sigh slipping out.

This house’s bath was huge compared to my apartment’s. Even with Akio Gouda’s big frame, I could stretch out. Impressive stuff.

“Big enough for four people…”

Whoops, bad thought. What am I doing, fantasizing about pink scenarios here?

I got plenty of action last night. My lower half should be chill, but there’s a slight tingle.

“Calm down, Akio Gouda. Getting worked up in a classmate’s bath? That’s middle school boy territory.”

I told myself a teenage reaction would be cute, but I can’t exactly get ready for battle in front of the girl hosting me. A voice in my head screamed, You’re the one getting excited, dumbass! but it’s probably just my imagination.

“Um, G-Gouda-kun…”

“Hm?”

Kuroha’s voice came from the changing room. Didn’t even hear her come in.

A frosted glass door between me and a classmate, with me buck naked. Not like I haven’t been bare in front of girls before, so I wasn’t rattled.

“W-W-Well…”

She called out but didn’t get to the point.

“What’s up? Here to scrub my back?”

I tossed out a joke, but she didn’t reply. Instead, a loud thunk echoed, like she’d bumped into something.

“You okay!?”

“I’m fine! R-Really, I’m fine…”

Her voice didn’t sound fine. Was that a groan?

“Uh, if you want, Gouda-kun… I-I can scrub your back!”

“Nah, just kidding.”

“…!”

Another thunk rang out, like she’d hit something hard again. I wanted to check, but I couldn’t exactly step out naked.

“You sure you’re okay? I keep hearing you bump into stuff.”

“I-I’m fine… Really… Please don’t worry…”

That tone didn’t scream “fine.” Now I’m the one getting antsy.

“Um, do you have any foods you hate… or allergies?”

Guess she was prepping dinner and got curious enough to ask.

Kuroha’s so thoughtful, worrying about stuff like that. Having a friend like her is awesome.

“No dislikes here. No allergies either. I’ll eat anything.”

I sensed her nodding through the glass.

“Sorry for bothering you while you’re relaxing.”

Her presence faded. I let out a breath.

Splashing water on my face, I realized I wasn’t that tense, but my lower half seemed to disagree.

Took a bit longer to get out of the bath.

◇ ◇ ◇

After a generous dinner, I decided to turn in early.

It’d been a long day. I was wiped… or so I told myself as I retreated to the room.

“Thanks for everything, Kuroha. Really.”

Even at dinner, Kuroha was stiff as a board. I tried making small talk to loosen her up, but it just made her more nervous.

Can’t blame her. Even if we’re friends, having a big, scary-looking guy like me in her house—alone together, no less—would make any girl uneasy. No matter how much she tells herself it’s fine, her instincts must be screaming.

If I want to put her at ease, the best thing I can do is hole up in here and sleep.

“I’m beat anyway. Yawn…”

A good kind of tired. I’d sleep like a rock tonight.

I flicked off the light and flopped onto the bedding. As my head hit the pillow, I heard a rustle.

“Hm? Something under the pillow?”

I reached underneath and pulled out a small, individually wrapped item.

“…What?”

It was familiar, but it felt wildly out of place here.

“Why the hell is there a condom under here?”

A condom. Not a rubber band, not a hair tie—a condom.

Mainly used by guys, though girls might carry them too, just in case. Knowledge is power, after all.

Overseas, they call it a love glove, a bulletproof vest, or even a Venus shirt. That last one’s kinda classy, right? Not just me who thinks so. Look it up—it’s kinda fun.

“No, no, no! That’s not the point!”

My thoughts were derailing. I stared at the packet to get back on track.

Definitely a condom. No mistaking it. No excuses—it’s a condom!

Why the hell is it here?

Kuroha showed me to this room. She laid out the bedding. This is her house.

“No way…”

Kuroha put it here? No, no way… That’s too much, even for a prank. She’s not the type to pull something this awkward.

“Must be a mistake.”

Maybe it slipped under the pillow while she was setting up the bedding. That’s the only explanation that doesn’t mean Kuroha intentionally left a condom here.

But why would she even have one? This is a single-mom household. Not that women can’t carry them for emergencies, but…

“Emergencies… Right!”

A lightbulb went off.

This tiny condom can hold about a liter of water. In a disaster, it’s compact and useful.

“Got it. It’s for emergencies.”

There we go. Nothing weird about Kuroha having one now!

“…Time to sleep.”

I lay back down, exhausted from overthinking.

Closing my eyes, I ignored what Kuroha might think of me, pretending not to see.

◇ ◇ ◇

A dream…?

An unfamiliar ceiling. Sleeping in an unfamiliar Japanese-style room. Maybe my wish to roll around on tatami came true in a dream. Weird to watch myself like I’m astral projecting, though.

A girl crept in.

“C-Coming in…”

A cute girl with fluffy green hair, wearing glasses, petite but… well-endowed.

“G-Gouda-kun… You’re asleep… right?”

She crawled closer on all fours, silent as a mouse. My body stayed asleep.

Reaching my pillow, the green-haired girl stared at my sleeping face.

“It’s Himari-chan’s fault… Leaving the guy she likes with someone like me…”

She clutched her chest, muttering softly, like she was holding something back.

Then, with a determined look, she leaned in—toward me.

Wait, is she… trying to kiss me?

A beautiful girl kissing me. A literal dream scenario. My heart raced as I watched.

Our faces drew closer, lips inches apart.

The moment was coming. I nearly cheered, but my eyes snapped open.

“Huh?”

Not sure whose voice that was.

Next thing I knew, the green-haired girl was pinned beneath me, our positions flipped in a flash. A big guy pinning down a small girl—pretty bad optics.

“G-Gouda-kun? Y-You’re awake…?”

She looked confused, not yet registering she was pinned.

“You came into a guy’s room knowing he was asleep. Can’t complain if something happens, right?”

“W-Well… I-I—”

Her attempt at an explanation was cut off as I sealed her lips with mine. Her eyes, behind her glasses, widened in shock.

Even watching from a third-person view, I felt the kiss—deep, rough, raw, melting my brain.

God, this feels good… The urge to give in grew, but part of me started to think, Wait, this isn’t a dream!

No, seriously, it’s not! That green-haired girl is Kuroha! I’m not sleepwalking anymore!

But my body moved on its own, ignoring my will. My tongue went wild, like an animal.

“Mmph… Hah… Hah… Chup…”

Kuroha breathed hard through her nose, hesitantly moving her tongue to resist.

Our tongues tangled, a jolt of pleasure shooting down my spine.

Stop it, me! What the hell am I doing!? Attacking a friend like this? I’ll be socially dead!

Maybe sleep dulled my restraint, letting Akio Gouda’s instincts take over.

I thought I’d made peace with him, but Akio Gouda’s a hopeless creep who can’t resist women. I need to stop this before he ruins Kuroha!

“Get back! Back, back, back, BACK!”I roared with all my might.

My will won out. I felt my consciousness snap back into Akio Gouda’s body, taking control easily.

“Haa, haa, haa… Gouda-kun…”

I pulled back. Kuroha panted, her eyes glassy.

I messed up…

Kissed senseless by Akio Gouda, Kuroha lay limp. Still pinning her, I looked down.

She was probably low on oxygen. Her dazed eyes and half-open mouth, panting… it was, uh, hot.

“Haa, haa… I-It’s okay…”

Yeah, what now…?

Say I was half-asleep? No, that’s a weak excuse after pinning her.

I cursed internally, picturing Akio Gouda whistling and looking away. We’re talking later, buddy.

“Uh, Kuroha.”

“Gouda-kun…”

She sounded feverish. Gotta snap her out of it to talk.

“Why’d you come in here so late? What’s up?”

Right—why did she sneak in while I was asleep?

If she had business, it could’ve waited. Coming that close, defenseless… Not to side with Akio Gouda, but she can’t complain if something happens.

And it wasn’t me who acted—it was Akio Gouda’s instincts. I’m not the bad guy here. I’m not!

“Huh? W-W-Well… I-I was just… worried if you could sleep okay in an unfamiliar place…”

I’d been making excuses in my head, but Kuroha started panicking.

What a flimsy excuse. Not convincing at all.

“Really?”

“Y-Yes, really! Please believe—ahn!”

My right hand was kneading her chest unconsciously. Thin summer pajamas… Wait, no bra?

“G-Gouda-kun… You can’t… Ah…”

“You’re lying, aren’t you? Naughty girl.”

“I-I’m… naughty?”

Kuroha squirmed but didn’t pull away.

Petite yet full, her chest rivaled my other girls. As expected of an adult manga heroine—her “plain girl” label flew out the window seeing her like this.

I grabbed the condom packet and held it up.

“Found this under my pillow. You put it there and still say you weren’t tempting me?”

“Huh?”

Kuroha stared blankly at the condom packet thrust in front of her, her reaction a mix of confusion and… cluelessness?

Wait, does she really not know? Or is she just pretending?

“You know what this is, right?”

“Uh…”

Without waiting for her answer, I leaned close to her ear and whispered the proper use of a condom.

“~~!?!?!?”

Even in the dim light, her face flared red. Her brain must’ve gone into overdrive, steam practically rising from her head.

“Should I take this as a move from you, Kuroha?”

I dangled the packet, letting it sway as I asked.

“…Yes.”

She hesitated for a moment, but her eyes behind her glasses burned with resolve. She nodded firmly, closing them as if inviting me.

Kuroha Rino is an adult manga heroine. I’d tried not to think of her that way, treating her as a friend, but remembering her role in the story, my body couldn’t help but react.

“Kuroha, I’m with Himari.”

“…!”

She opened her eyes wide, her breath catching.

This is an adult manga world. Maybe it’s not NTR, and no one would bat an eye if I went for it.

But if I’m gonna do this, I need to keep things straight.

“Not just Himari. I’m with Haya, too, and there’s a girl named Erika. They’re not exactly girlfriends—more like friends with benefits. But all three are my girls.”

It’s the truth, but saying it out loud makes me sound like a total sleaze. Still, my girls are okay with this setup, and in this world, it’s allowed. I can’t keep clinging to my old-world morals.

“Uh… th-that’s…”

“So, if you’re cool with being like them, I’ll take you right here and now.”

Kuroha went speechless. Yeah, I was pretty blunt.

But I couldn’t touch her while hiding my deal with the others. My body’s raring to go, but if she says no, I’ll hold back with everything I’ve got.

“I… I like you, Gouda-kun!”

After a long silence, Kuroha’s voice burst out, her feelings solidified.

“At first, I was scared of you… But at some point, you changed. Working together on the sports festival committee, seeing how kind and dependable you are… I couldn’t stop thinking about you.”

She poured her heart out, struggling to find the words. I stayed quiet, letting her speak without interruption.

“But Himari-chan likes you too… So I thought I had to give up… But I couldn’t. I just couldn’t…”

“…”

“But if it’s not just Himari-chan, then it’s okay, right? I can be loved by you too, can’t I?”

“If you’re in, I’ll give you everything I’ve got.”

Tears welled in her eyes.

“Yes… Please, let me join them… I want to be loved by you too…”

No more words were needed.

All that was left was for me to show her I could handle it. I leaned over Rino, and soon, we became one.

A hot, steamy night. Even with the AC on, we worked up a sweat, but it was damn satisfying.

◇ ◇ ◇

The chirping of sparrows was music to my ears. Half-asleep, I hugged something warm and soft…

“Nn…♡”

A sweet breath brushed my head. My face was nestled between something soft, and I felt pure bliss.

“Fwaa… yawn…”

“An!”

I woke slowly, yawning. My tongue brushed something, rolling it instinctively.

“Nn… Hehe, Gouda-kun, you’re like a baby.”

“Hm?”

Her voice snapped me awake. I looked up to see Rino, glasses off, smiling down at me with maternal warmth.

My brain caught up, and last night came rushing back.

“…Morning, Rino.”

“Good morning.”

Rino stroked my head with tender care. My spiky hair must’ve pricked her, but she didn’t stop.

It was morning already. Sunlight streamed through the shoji, brightening the room.

But her embrace was so cozy… I ended up sleeping in.

◇ ◇ ◇

“School uniform apron? Or maybe a swimsuit apron? O-Or… do you want a naked apron?”

“Uh, what’s that about?”

I woke up a bit later than usual, and Rino said she’d make breakfast. I thought she’d ask what I wanted to eat, but her words threw me.

Wait, what’s she asking? Those aren’t food, right?

“Don’t guys love uniform aprons? I heard swimsuit aprons are popular too, and naked aprons are, like, a guy’s ultimate dream.”

“Where’d you hear that!?”

I’m worried about her sources. She’s not swallowing sketchy magazines or websites whole, is she?

“Oh, do you not like them, Gouda-kun? No, of course not… Why would you care if I wore something like that…?”

She slumped, and I rushed to reassure her.

“N-No way! Aprons are packed with a guy’s dreams! Yeah!”

Rino, sans glasses, looked at me with hopeful eyes.

Seeing her so earnest brought last night flooding back, and I scratched my head, looking away.

“Then, swimsuit apron it is.”

“Yes! Thank you!”

Why’s she thanking me? Beaming, she went to change.

…Look, it’s not what you think. Our school’s pool classes are split by gender, so I was just curious about the girls’ swimsuits. Pure curiosity, okay? …Who am I even explaining to?

I got ready and headed to the living room. You’d think I’d be nervous in someone else’s house, but after last night, that delicate feeling was gone. I flipped on the TV like I owned the place.

…I need to have another talk with Akio Gouda. Rino was okay with it, but if he keeps jumping girls like last night, I’m socially screwed.

I never imagined my body getting hijacked. Well, I’m the one hijacking it, technically.

Still, I decided to live as Akio Gouda, and I thought he’d accepted me too.

“If you’re gonna selfishly mess with my girls, I won’t forgive you.”

I muttered to myself, low enough for only me to hear. That was enough for him.

“…Tch.”

No response. Usually, only strong emotions from him surface, so casual chats aren’t a thing.

He’s probably frustrated he can’t talk back. Guess I’ll have to wait for the next chance.

“G-Gouda-kun… Sorry to keep you waiting…”

A timid voice. I turned to see Rino, glasses back on, in an actual swimsuit apron.

“Whoa.”

Proud of myself for not squeaking. Holy crap, from the front, it’s barely different from a naked apron!

“H-How is it?”

She posed, turning left and right. The navy school swimsuit hugged her curvy back and plump hips.

Her great figure suited the swimsuit perfectly. Maybe her petite frame added a hint of innocence… or a touch of taboo.

“Stupidly, insanely, erotically cute.”

“Au!”

Rino flushed red, clutching her chest. Hey, don’t do that—it makes those juicy assets look even tastier!

“N-Now I’ll make breakfast. Relax, okay?”

“Whoa.”

I watched her head to the kitchen. Her perky, swimsuit-clad butt swayed like it was teasing me. The apron hid her front, making her defenseless back stand out.

Sadly, the kitchen was a counter-style one. I fought the urge to sneak behind her and stared at a news program I wasn’t even processing.

“Here. It’s simple, but…”

“Whoa, looks good.”

Rice, miso soup, grilled fish, and blanched greens. Her cooking rivaled Haya’s.

Sipping the miso soup, I couldn’t help but smile. Nothing like a meal to kickstart the day.

“Um, so…”

“Hm?”

Rino, not touching her food, looked serious. Her earnest expression had me bracing myself.

“So, uh… Last night, we got a bit… close, right?”

“Y-Yeah.”

Her face was beet red, eyes misty as she recalled last night.

Her reserved nature shone through with that “a bit.” It’s so her.

That’s why her serious tone had me on edge.

“So… I-I was wondering if… instead of Gouda-kun, I could call you… Akio-kun?”

Blushing, she fought to keep her eyes on me, asking something so adorable.

“Of course. I’m calling you Rino, after all.”

Her face lit up like a blooming flower. What is this cute creature?

“I’m so happy! Hehe, I’ve always dreamed of calling a boy by his first name like this.”

What’s with that adorable dream? I’ll make it come true anytime!

“And, um, one more thing… What we did last night… I want to do it a lot more…♡”

I’ll do it a ton! After breakfast, I got real cozy with Rino in her swimsuit apron.

◇ ◇ ◇

Rino, my new girl, was so damn cute that I couldn’t hold back and ended up way too satisfied.

“Sorry, I kinda messed up your swimsuit.”

“Haa, haa, haa, haa… ♡ It’s… it’s fine… I can just wash it…”

Since we were washing stuff anyway and had worked up a sweat that morning, I hopped in the shower with Rino. My sticky body felt refreshed afterward.

While we were playfully drying each other off, the doorbell chimed, announcing visitors.

“Wah!? W-what do we do!? It’s Himari-chan and Himuro-san, right? The living room’s still a mess…!”

When I got carried away with Rino that morning, we’d trashed the living room. I didn’t mean to make it such a disaster… but I guess my primal instincts took over.

“I’ll go greet them. Rino, can you handle cleaning up the living room?”

“Y-yes!”

Watching Rino’s frantic figure dash off, I strolled to the front door at a leisurely pace.

When I opened it, a flash of pink and gold hit my eyes, as expected.

“Had quite the night, didn’t you?” Himari teased.

“Huh? What’s that outta nowhere, Himari?” Haya replied, confused.

I played dumb. “What’re you talking about?”

Himari giggled as she stepped inside. “Oh, whatever. I’ll just ask Rino-chan.”

“Oi. Was it you who planted that thing under my pillow?”

Himari shot me a sly grin, brushing past. Haya just tilted her head, clueless. Hard to tell who’s the goody-two-shoes and who’s the gal with reactions like that, huh?

“Himari-chan… g-good morning…”

“Yo, Rino-chan, thanks for having us. Oh… did we interrupt something?”

Rino, still fixing herself up after the shower and cleanup, came face-to-face with Himari.

I thought the shower washed everything away, but Himari seemed to pick up on something. No visual or olfactory clues, so what’s she basing this on?

“Um, Himari-chan… there’s something kinda hard to say…”

“Take your time, Rino-chan. I want to hear it straight from you.”

Himari flashed a gentle smile, one that seemed to know everything.

“Huh? What’re you two talking about?” Haya asked.

“She’ll explain soon enough. Let’s just sit down, Haya-chan,” Himari said.

At the living room table, once everyone was seated, Rino confessed to Himari and Haya that she and I had gotten close.

“Wait… Kuroha-san, you were into Aki?” Haya gasped, mouth agape.

While the shocked blonde gal gawked, Himari sipped her tea with elegant calm.

“I knew,” Himari said. “We’re best friends, after all.”

“Huh!?” Haya snapped. “Why’re you so chill about it!? Doesn’t that mean your best friend beat you to the punch!?”

“I don’t feel outdone. If anything, I gave her a nudge.”

“Huh!?”

Haya was floored by Himari’s words, and I was struggling to keep up with her intentions.

“I’ve always hated how Rino-chan gives up before even trying,” Himari continued. “So this time, I made sure something would happen, even if I had to force it.”

“Himari-chan…” Rino murmured.

Himari and Rino locked eyes. That must be the bond of best friends, wanting to help each other no matter what. Female friendship, huh?

Still, offering up a guy who’s not even officially your boyfriend feels a bit much… But whatever. This is an eroge world; I’ll keep my mouth shut.

“I saw this as a chance,” Himari went on. “Whatever the outcome, Rino-chan had to act on her feelings. Even if she didn’t make a move, I figured Akio-kun would do something.”

“And that something had to be a condom?” I muttered.

“No words needed there. Showing it to Rino-chan would’ve done the trick.”

So the condom under the pillow wasn’t for me—it was a message for Rino.

Seeing something sexual would force her to confront her feelings. Himari must’ve thought it’d be the spark to ignite her courage. Judging by her demeanor, she’d probably been dropping hints to Rino for a while.

But why go so far to push Rino toward me? Even for a best friend, giving up someone you like isn’t normal.

Haya voiced my doubts for me. “Himari, what’s going through your head!? I get that your best friend’s important, but there’s a time, place, and person for this kinda thing!”

Despite Haya’s valid outburst, Himari remained cool as a cucumber.

“Haya-chan, you weren’t exactly unprepared for this, were you? Akio-kun’s not the type to be satisfied with just the three of us. Wouldn’t you rather it be a girl we know than some random chick he brings home?”

“Ugh… w-well…” Haya stammered, at a loss.

I looked away. If I kept going until I was satisfied, even the three of them combined wouldn’t be enough. Never thought they’d be worried about that.

“Akio-kun’s so intense,” Himari said. “Erika-san’s not always around, and while it’s always a blast, keeping up with him nonstop would fry our brains.”

“Yeah… Akio’s a stamina freak…” Haya mumbled.

Haya quieted down, nodding in agreement with Himari. Looks like they’d reached an understanding.

“Um, can I… join you guys, Himuro-san?” Rino asked timidly.

With Himari already on her side, Haya was the only one who might object.

“Whatever,” Haya said. “It’s not my call. If Akio’s cool with it, I’m fine.”

“Thank you so much!” Rino bowed, slamming her forehead into the table.

“Ow!!”

“Oi, you okay, Rino?” I asked.

“Kuroha-san, is your head alright!?” Haya exclaimed.

Haya… that phrasing’s kinda rude.

While Haya and I fretted, Himari swiftly moved to grab something cold to soothe Rino’s forehead.

Leaving Rino in Himari’s care, I turned to Haya. “Sorry, Haya. I went and made Rino my girl without asking.”

“Bit late for that now,” Haya said. “I get it, though. That’s just the kinda guy you are.”

“No excuses, huh?”

Haya snorted, but her face quickly turned wistful.

“Just… maybe make some time for just the two of us sometimes? That’d make me happy…”

She shook her head. “Ugh, forget that. I sound like some clingy chick…”

“Nah, it’s not like that,” I said. “Himari and Erika aren’t shy about telling me what they want. Rino’s pretty vocal about her needs too.”

“What, even Kuroha-san?” Haya asked.

“Yeah. After all we did last night, she was still raring to go this morning…”

“Hold up,” Haya interrupted, raising a hand.

“So… you two went at it a ton last night… and again this morning?”

“That’s what I said.”

“You, Aki?”

“Be pretty scary if it was some other guy, right?”

“With just Kuroha-san?”

“We were alone in the house, so yeah.”

“…”

Haya’s gaze shifted to Rino, who was chatting animatedly with Himari, caught up in their bestie bubble.

Haya exhaled sharply, then inhaled deeply, staring at the ceiling.

“Kuroha-san’s a stamina freak too!!” she bellowed, her voice echoing through the house. Oi, keep it down, you’ll bother the neighbors.

“What!?” Haya continued. “The three of us can barely keep up, and she handled you solo last night and this morning? No way… If it was just me, I’d pass out in no time.”

Haya was freaking out, her words barely registering with me. I left her to it and headed over to Rino, who’d just whacked her forehead.

“Rino, how’s the bump?”

“I’m fine. No swelling or anything. Thanks for worrying, Akio-kun.”

She showed me her forehead, slightly red but not swollen. I breathed a sigh of relief.

“…Akio-kun? You mean Aki?” Himari tilted her head, watching me stroke Rino’s fluffy hair.

“Yeah,” Rino said. “Since we got close, I figured I’d try a new way of calling him.”

“I’m calling her Rino too,” I added.

Our eyes met, and we shared a natural laugh. A warm, cozy vibe settled between us.

“Hmm? You two seem awfully chummy…” Himari muttered, tilting her head. Her voice was too soft to catch clearly, but it’s Himari—probably nothing major.

“Listen, Himari!” Haya shouted.

“What’s up, Haya-chan? You’ve been yelling a lot. Practicing for choir or something?” Himari teased.

“Who does that in someone else’s house!?” Haya grabbed Himari’s shoulders and whispered something in her ear, prompting a loud “What!?”

“Um…” Himari raised her hand, suddenly formal, addressing Rino and me. “You two… you did it last night, right?”

“Yeah, pretty much,” I answered honestly. She seemed to have expected it, so no point hiding it.

“Sorry for being nosy, but… how many times?”

“Uh… well…”

Talk about a blunt question. Not exactly something a girl should ask, but it’s Himari, so whatever.

The problem was, I wasn’t sure. “I counted up to about five last night, but… I lost track after that. Rino, you remember?”

“No, I was too caught up in you, Akio-kun… ♡ I got swept away and didn’t even think to count. Oh, but this morning was definitely four times. We didn’t have much time, so we couldn’t do more.”

“…”

Rino’s got a bit of a masochistic streak, which makes it fun to mess with her. Gotta blame that on Akio Gouda’s influence, right?

“I love it when you take charge, Akio-kun,” Rino said, blushing. “It’s embarrassing to admit… ♡”

“I got carried away too,” I said. “Now that I think about it, I wasn’t exactly gentle. My bad. You holding up okay?”

“I’m fine. It hurts a little, but… it feels good, you know? Makes me want to stay connected to you, Akio-kun… ♡”

“Even now?”

“Yes… even now… ♡”

Rino’s shy smile was adorable. Her eyes, behind those glasses, seemed to burn with desire.

I’m a big guy, and Rino’s petite. Thought we’d be an odd match, but turns out we fit together pretty damn well.

“Himari, what do we do!? What do we do!?” Haya wailed, shaking Himari.

“I didn’t expect their chemistry to be this good… Talk about a miscalculation,” Himari said.

“Akio’s totally into Kuroha-san! Are we screwed? Are we gonna be left behind!?” Haya panicked.

Seems Haya was worried I’d only have eyes for Rino now. I reached out and patted her head. Her dyed blonde hair felt surprisingly soft.

“Relax, Haya,” I said. “Unless you tell me to back off, I’m not letting you go.”

“R-really? You won’t ditch me?”

Her anxious eyes sparkled. She’s got that flashy look, but deep down, she’s a bit of a loner.

I’d make sure she never felt lonely. To prove it, I stole a rough kiss from the blonde gal’s lips.

“Nn… Aki… ♡” Haya gasped.

“Believe me now?”

“Yeah… I believe you, Aki… ♡”

Haya stared at me, smitten. So easy. But that’s what makes her cute.

Her lips puckered, begging for more. This time, I kissed her gently, teasing her shy tongue with care.

“Wow… so that’s how it is…” Rino murmured, watching us intently. Seeing someone else’s intimacy for the first time, her face flushed, but she couldn’t look away.

While I was focused on Haya, someone hugged me from behind. It was Himari, pressing her face into my back.

“Ugh… Rino-chan’s supposed to suck at gym, so how’s she keeping up like that…? I thought even if she confessed, she might not go all the way. I was supposed to take the lead!” Himari whined.

Sounds like she had some shady plans. Typical scheming pink-head.

I let go of Haya and pinned the pink-haired culprit down, her soft curves pressing against me.

“Akio-k—” Himari started.

I went in hard with my mouth and fingers. Himari’s eyes glazed over as she melted into me.

She needed a little punishment. As I wiped my mouth with my arm, Rino piped up.

“Um… since we’re here, can I sketch this?”

“Sketch?” I asked.

Sketching what we’re about to do? Is she serious?

“What’re you talking about, Kuroha-san?” Haya asked, just as confused.

“When I’m in the moment, I can’t see what’s happening,” Rino explained. “Watching from the outside gives a new perspective. It might inspire better… techniques. I want to draw it. Akio-kun’s strong side!”

Rino was passionate, but… what kinda play is that?

“Akio-kun… is it okay?” she asked, her eyes pleading behind her glasses.

How could I say no to that?

“R-Rino-chan… you’re joking, right?” Himari stammered.

“…Fine. I’ll allow it,” I said.

“Akio-kun!?” Himari yelped, her usual composure gone. That panicked look stirred something deep inside me.

“Himari, that face… it’s perfect,” I growled.

“H-Hold on… don’t draw it…! Don’t draw my embarrassing side!” Himari pleaded.

Ignoring her best friend, Rino grabbed a sketchbook and started drawing our antics.

The shame must’ve gotten to Himari—she was feeling it more than usual. The unusual situation had me fired up too.

“Poor Himari…” Haya muttered, clasping her hands in prayer from a distance. She’s sitting this one out, but I’ll make sure to give her some love later.
