 Afterword

First of all, thank you for picking up I Rescued a Kid Who Was About to Be Kidnapped, and She Turned Out to Be a Princess on a Secret Outing, or Secret Princess for short!

This marks my very first work to be published through Kakuyomu!

Yes, I’ve had several of my works published before, but up until now, all of them were either through Shōsetsuka ni Narō or as winners of contests hosted on that platform.

That’s why I’m absolutely thrilled that this work, which was serialized exclusively on Kakuyomu, has been turned into a book!

A huge thank you to my editor, Noyu-sensei, and everyone else involved in the publication process!

I truly appreciate all the help and support that made it possible to bring this story to readers.

I’m especially grateful to my editor, who has been incredibly accommodating—listening to all my requests and allowing me to consult them on even the smallest details.

And of course, my deepest thanks to Noyu-sensei for the amazing character designs! The illustrations are absolutely adorable, and I couldn’t be happier.

Luna turned out ridiculously cute, and both Aira and Rion are just as adorable—I really love how they came out!

Personally, I’ve always had a soft spot for characters with their eyes hidden, but funnily enough, Aira wasn’t originally meant to be one.

It was actually Noyu-sensei’s idea to make her a beautiful girl with hidden eyes during the character design phase, and I was overjoyed the moment I saw it.

Thank you so much!!

I’ll keep doing my best so that more and more people can fall in love with Luna, Aira, and Rion!

Now, before I talk a little about the story itself—

To be honest, this book deal happened incredibly fast.

I won’t go into all the details, but to put it simply… I got contacted about it almost immediately after starting the serialization.

At first, I even wondered if they had reached out to me by mistake, thinking it was for a different work of mine that had been doing really well.

That’s how much interest this story generated!

This time around, I went for a slightly different approach, with a strong focus on sweet, affectionate romance right from the start.

I really hope you’ve been enjoying it!

I’ll continue to bring you more of the heroines’ adorable moments, so please look forward to it!
