E-book Bonus Short Story: "The Past Me and the Present Me"
Akio Gouda. Born May 5th, Taurus. Height: 185 cm. Weight: 83 kg.
Even a simple profile like this was something Akio Gouda himself didn’t know until he was reborn into this body. Name and appearance aside, a villain in an adult manga doesn’t need a birthday, right?
But there were still things he didn’t understand.
While memories of Akio Gouda’s past flowed into his mind, they alone didn’t fully explain why he acted the way he did.
For instance, Akio Gouda would pursue any woman he fancied, regardless of her age, so why did he restrain himself at school until he stole Himari Shiratori?
Having become Akio Gouda, he understood one thing clearly: with a body that pent up desire so quickly, holding back for long wasn’t possible.
That’s probably why he sought women outside of school. But then, it seemed there was no reason for him to deliberately restrain himself at school either.
“Huh? What kind of person Akio-kun was?”
And so, during pillow talk, he asked Erika while lying in bed.
“Well, I was just curious about how Erika saw me.”
“Heh… Caring about something like that? Akio-kun, you’ve got a cute side, don’t you?”
Misinterpreting something, Erika playfully poked his cheek.
“N-No, it’s not like it’s a big deal or anything. It’s just… I’m trying to change myself, so I need to understand how others see me. That’s all.”
“I see. That’s admirable, Akio-kun.”
Erika gave him a warm smile. The feeling of being watched over by someone older made him itch with embarrassment.
“Hmm… But I haven’t known you for *that* long, you know. The first time we were together, you were a bit rougher than now, but from the second time onward, you’ve been pretty much the same Akio-kun as you are now, I think?”
In the original story, Erika didn’t have much of a role.
The fact that their relationship continued like this was, in itself, abnormal. Asking someone like her about the past Akio Gouda wasn’t likely to yield much information.
“But I like the current Akio-kun much more than the first time. Someone as gentle and who makes me feel *this* good… there’s no one else like you. ♡”
“Is that so?”
He ran his fingers through Erika’s silky blue hair. She closed her eyes, looking content, and leaned into him.
Having a beauty like Erika by his side was probably because he was Akio Gouda.
Still, he wanted to believe that her sweet, trusting expression was something only he—not Akio Gouda—could bring out.
◇ ◇ ◇
“Why don’t you ask Shiratori-chan or Himuro-chan instead of me?” Erika suggested.
It made perfect sense when he thought about it. His female classmates would know far more about what kind of guy Akio Gouda was than a college girl who hadn’t been involved with him originally.
“Huh!? What my first impression of Akio was!?”
And so, during pillow talk, he asked Haya while lying in bed.
Haya had been part of his delinquent crew since they started school. She’d likely noticed the biggest differences between the old him and the current him.
“No need to overthink it. Just tell me your honest thoughts.”
“Uh, u-um…”
He’d meant to make it easy for her to talk, but the blonde gal averted her eyes, as if something awkward had come up.
“At first… you were, like… cool…”
“Huh? What was that?”
He wasn’t trying to play dumb, but Haya’s voice was so soft he had to ask her to repeat herself.
“I didn’t say anything! You were a delinquent and a hothead from the start, right, Akio!? …Though I never saw you get violent at school.”
Haya’s face turned bright red as she smacked him repeatedly. Her hits were more like pleasant taps, so he let her do as she pleased.
“So, was the old me scary or what?”
“N-No, you weren’t scary or anything…!”
Haya cut herself off, then pressed her face into his chest, rubbing against him like a clingy puppy.
“…No, sorry. To be honest, the old Akio *was* scary. That’s why I want you to stay the way you are now.”
“Am I not scary now?”
“You’re gentle but pushy… That part’s a little scary, but it’s the *good* kind of scary, so it’s fine…”
What’s a “good kind of scary”? He considered teasing Haya further to embarrass her more, but her tone was so earnest that he decided against it.
“But the old Akio definitely had a gentle side too. That part of you hasn’t changed, then or now.”
Haya looked up at him with a bright grin.
So both he and Akio Gouda were gentle, huh…
Even as a villain in an adult manga, it seemed Akio Gouda wasn’t just a guy who stole women.
He’d felt it himself. While he didn’t understand all of Akio Gouda’s thoughts, there was a sense of empathy stirring in his heart.
That’s why he wanted to know the man named Akio Gouda. Maybe this was a kind of self-discovery.
“Got it. Then tell me specifically what’s so gentle about me.”
“Huh!? W-Why!?”
“I want to hear it from you, Haya. Come on, spill it.”
Haya squeezed her eyes shut, her face turning beet red.
Was it *that* embarrassing? But seeing her so flustered only fueled his desire to make her talk.
“N-No way! You probably don’t even remember anyway…”
“You won’t know unless you say it.”
“But then you’ll find out I was a plain nobody…!”
“Huh? What was that?”
Her voice was too soft to catch. When he leaned closer, she pushed his face away.
“That’s enough! It’s a secret! A girl’s secrets are off-limits to guys!”
He’d been trying to hear about Akio Gouda’s gentle side, but somehow he’d ended up trying to uncover some “girl’s secret” instead.
“Alright, alright, I get it. In that case—”
He loomed over Haya, who was lying on her back in bed. Caught off guard, she just stared up at him, stunned.
“If you’re not gonna talk, I’ve got no choice. I’ll just ask your body instead.”
“A-Akio!? W-Wait—Eek!?”
After that, he felt *incredibly* satisfied.
But he couldn’t pry Haya’s “girl’s secret” out of her. For her to stay tight-lipped despite reacting so openly, that secret must be some top-level classified information.
◇ ◇ ◇
In the end, he didn’t get much information about the past Akio Gouda from Erika or Haya.
“What I thought of the old Akio-kun?”
And so, during pillow talk, he asked Himari while lying in bed.
In the original adult manga, Haya was a side character, and Erika was barely a background figure.
But Himari, the main heroine, surely had some strong opinions about Akio Gouda.
In the original story, she often clashed with him.
As an honor student, she probably couldn’t ignore a delinquent like him.
But it felt like there was more to it than that. Otherwise, no matter how driven by her sense of justice, she wouldn’t have approached the school’s most dangerous guy on her own.
“Hmm… We only started talking properly recently, so it’s hard to answer off the cuff. But I did hear a lot of rumors about you, Akio-kun.”
“Like what?”
“Well, things like you single-handedly took down a delinquent gang from another school, or that you’d go out at night and hit on women indiscriminately.”
Half true… Which half was true, he didn’t need to say.
“If you heard rumors like that, you must’ve had a bad impression of me.”
“I don’t judge people based on rumors. Your rumors were so outlandish that I couldn’t tell what was true or not.”
Himari rested her chin on the pillow, glancing at him sideways.
“What’s this all of a sudden? Are you worried about what I thought of you?”
“That’s not it.”
For some reason, his tone came out gruff.
He just wanted to understand Akio Gouda’s thoughts. That’s all. Whether he was hated before didn’t matter to him now.
It *shouldn’t* matter…
“You don’t have to make that face.”
Himari pulled him close, his head pressing against her ample chest.
While he nearly panicked, Himari giggled softly.
“I like the current Akio-kun. No matter how awful you were before, that doesn’t change how I feel.”
“Even though you used to scold me all the time?”
“That’s because you were always late, Akio-kun! Did you think I hated you because of that? I was just doing my duty as a classmate. That’s kind of hurtful.”
He could practically hear a “Hmph!” from the sulky aura above him. That one was his bad.
…Or rather, Akio Gouda’s fault.
He hadn’t even recalled being scolded by Himari until he brought it up himself.
Of course, in the original story, getting scolded by the goody-two-shoes heroine pissed him off, leading to the impulsive stealing arc… But that might not have been just a convenient plot device. Maybe there was some buildup of emotions in Akio Gouda after all.
It didn’t feel like everything he thought translated directly into his actions. Maybe Akio Gouda’s will was unconsciously driving him to wonder how others saw him.
“Sorry, Himari. I’m grateful you scolded a guy like me.”
“Really? You didn’t secretly think I was an ‘annoying chick’ or something?”
Sharp… To think she’d nail one of the old Akio Gouda’s favorite phrases.
“Nope.”
“Mmh…”
He stole a kiss from the honor student without asking.
In the original story, she’d have resisted fiercely.
“Mmf… ♡”
But now, with her eyes melting, she wrapped her arms around his neck, as if begging for more.
Her sweet scent. Her soft, pleasurable body. The sweet, lascivious atmosphere was something the old them could never have created.
There was a trace of Akio Gouda’s will in this body. Having confronted it directly, he was certain of that.
“Phew… Getting in the mood again?”
Himari’s expression softened, her cheeks flushing as if she found his desire thrilling.
But the one who built these relationships with them was *him*.
He was the one making Himari show such an erotic expression. Not just her, but Haya and Erika too—they showed faces only for him.
That made him unbelievably happy.
“Yeah, I’m in the mood. It’s your fault for being so damn sexy, Himari.”
“Hehe, my fault? Well then, I’ll have to take responsibility. ♡”
He wasn’t curious about the past for Akio Gouda’s sake—it was for himself.
One day, Akio Gouda’s will might completely fade away. As long as he kept living freely like this, it was only a matter of time.
If that’s the case, he’d fight Akio Gouda until that moment came. They’d duke it out to see who could live more freely in this world.
That was one of the few responsibilities he had, having taken over this man’s body.
“Himari, deep down, you’re the type who wants to be scolded more than to scold, aren’t you?”
“W-What’s that supposed to mean…!?”
Himari let out a delighted squeal as he teased her.
“You’re a total masochist, aren’t you? Come on, admit it.”
“~~~♡”
“If you’re honest… I’ll make you *very* happy.”
After that, Himari got *incredibly* honest.
To think he could make a supposed honor student this depraved… It seems he was born to play the villain after all.
