[ENG] Otokogirai na Bijin Shimai wo Namae mo Tsugezuni Tasuketara Ittaidounaru V1 Afterword

 Afterword

To those meeting me for the first time, hello! And to those already familiar, allow me to introduce myself once again. I’m Myon—a name that, to be honest, holds no particular meaning. If I had to say anything about it, I’d admit it was chosen rather whimsically, so it truly is just a name (laughs).

Exactly one month ago, I had the privilege of publishing another work under the same Sneaker Bunko label, and I can’t help but feel a sense of fate that this story about the beautiful sisters is being released under the same banner. Originally, this work won the Comic Award at the Kakuyomu Contest, and during discussions for that, I was approached with the suggestion, “Why not try releasing it as a novel as well?” I nodded in agreement, and that’s how this opportunity came to be.

I’ve always understood that the process of publishing a book is no small feat, even for just one. So, when it became two, I’ll confess I was a bit overwhelmed, wondering, “Can I really handle this?” I wrote something similar in the afterword for my other work, but I truly believe I’ve been blessed with an incredible editor. They were always there to listen whenever I had concerns, provided precise and insightful feedback on the manuscript, communicated the essence of the characters to the illustrator, and shared in the joy when we saw the finished artwork. The experiences we shared are too numerous to count.

There’s no doubt in my mind that I could never have completed this work alone. It was only through the close collaboration with my editor that we were able to bring it to life. I used to think that a writer who could single-handedly complete everything was the ideal, but I’ve come to realize that’s not me. Instead, I’ve learned that by carefully crafting the story while incorporating others’ input, I can bring it closer to perfection. That realization has been invaluable.

Now, enough of the serious talk! What did you all think of this story’s main heroines, Arisa and Aina? I’m thrilled with how they turned out—adorable, alluring, and brimming with the kind of obsessive love that pulls you in. I aimed to make them not just cute but captivating, not just captivating but endearing. My hope was that, in writing them this way, not only would I fall for them, but readers like you might come to love them too.

I also owe an immense debt of gratitude to Giuniu-san, who illustrated this beautiful sisters’ story. Not only did they create stunning artwork, but they also livestreamed the coloring process for the cover, during which I had the chance to chat with them. It was such a fun experience, and I’m deeply grateful that they took the time to promote the work during the stream as well.

Finally, thank you so much for picking up this book about the beautiful sisters. If you enjoyed it and want to see more, I’d be overjoyed if you’d share your thoughts on social media or elsewhere (laughs). And if I may dream a little, I’d love to continue writing about Arisa and Aina’s lovey-dovey daily lives—and perhaps, who knows, even include Sakuna-san in the mix. I want to write it… I really want to write it, so please let me!

With that, thank you once again for reading!
