Epilogue
“Hayato.”
“…Huh?”
It came out of nowhere. Hearing a familiar voice, I turned—and there she was, my unforgettable mother.
“Mom…?”
“Yes. It’s been a while, Hayato.”
Why was she here…? I wondered, but I quickly realized—no, accepted—this was a dream. Her appearance, unchanged from before her illness took her, made me forget I was a high schooler now. I leapt into her arms.
“Oh my, such a clingy boy, Hayato.”
“Shut up… You left me out of nowhere.”
“…I’m sorry.”
No, that’s not what I meant to say. Even if this wasn’t real, just a fleeting reunion, I shouldn’t be grumbling. There’s so much more I’d rather tell her, Hayato!
“No, I’m sorry, Mom. I’ve got better things to say.”
“Hayato… Hehe, you’ve really grown up, haven’t you?”
“After you and Dad were gone, Grandpa and Grandma helped, but I’ve been on my own a lot. Had to grow up, right?”
“True. Yep, you’re a strong kid.”
Strong? Hardly—I was fighting back tears. Holding them in, I looked her straight in the eye.
“Sure, I get lonely sometimes. But there’s tons of good stuff too. Great friends, Grandpa and Grandma looking out for me… and—”
“You’ve found people you care about, haven’t you?”
“…Yeah. It’s crazy, but… I want to support them and drown in them.”
“They sound like good girls. I feel a little kinship with them.”
“…Hm?”
“Hehe♪”
That’s… yeah, I’ll let it slide.
Our reunion was shorter than I expected, and I sensed it was time to wake up.
“Almost time, huh?”
“…”
I wanted to shout, Not yet, let’s talk more! But that’d trouble her. My job was to ease her mind.
“Mom… I’ll keep going. So watch over me with Dad, okay?”
“…Hayato. Yes, I will.”
“Speaking of, where’s Dad? Just you showing up feels kinda cold.”
“Right? What’s that man up to?”
Time to say goodbye. This kind of miracle might happen again, and I doubt it’s my last meeting with her. So I’d part with a smile, believing we’d meet again.
“See ya, Mom. I’m off.”
“Yes. Hayato!”
“Yeah?”
“I love you. I’m so glad—so happy—you were born as our son.”
“…!”
Don’t say stuff that’ll make me cry, I almost yelled—then I woke up.

“Mom!!”
“Wah!?”
“…Huh?”
Instinctively, I hugged whatever was in front of me. Shocked that her voice shouldn’t be here, the sensation was so good I tightened my grip, burying my face in its bouncy warmth.
“This… is nice. I could stay like this forever.”
Insanely soft, warm, and sweet-smelling—I couldn’t pull away. But as I lingered, my brain woke up, catching up to reality.
“This… is a boob?”
“Haha, Hayato-kun, you’re so bold♪”
“!?”
The moment I calmly said “boob,” a playful girl’s voice hit my ears. I tried to pull back, but she clamped my head into her plush chest, refusing to let go.
“Uh, Aina?”
“Morning, Hayato-kun♪”
This could be a happy wake-up call… or not—I was scrambling to dodge something.
(Crap… morning wood!)
To break it down: I’m in bed, Aina’s straddling me, leaning forward, pressing her body against mine. And her hips? Right in the worst spot—way too dangerous!!
“Uh, Aina-san? Could you maybe get off…?”
“Oh♪ Hayato-kun? Talking into my boobs tickles! But I don’t mind—I love it♪”
That’s great, but that’s not the issue! She wiggled happily, hugging me tighter, and every squirm made her hips grind against my already-too-enthusiastic little guy.
“…Hm?”
“Oh…”
Aina paused, sliding a hand back like she’d noticed something. As she checked what was poking her, I felt the blood drain from my face—and then it happened.
“…Oh, that’s what’s up? Hehe, Hayato-kun, you’re such a perv♪”
“…Guhhh!”
She didn’t go all out, but her gentle touch over my pants sent weird shivers through me. Finally, she freed my head from her chest, though she stayed straddling me.
“Hey, Hayato-kun.”
She locked eyes with me, licked her lips, and said:
“We’re lovers now, right? So it’s fine—naughty stuff, anything. I’ll do it. Wanna?”
I snapped to attention, gently pushing her off. She pouted, but letting that flow take over would’ve been a disaster—no question.
Praising myself for holding out, I faced her again.
“…Morning, Aina.”
“Morning, Hayato-kun♪”
My sudden hug seemed to have messed up her uniform a bit, but Aina didn’t mind, casually fixing it. Still, her face quickly shifted to concern.
“Hayato-kun, did you have a dream? You said ‘Mom’…”
“…Oh.”
Her worried look made it clear she cared, but since it wasn’t a sad or lonely dream, I brushed it off with a laugh.
“Nah, nothing depressing. It was a dream, but… I got to see Mom after so long. Told her about you two, and she was smiling.”
“…Hehe, nice.”
Relieved by her smile, I got out of bed and headed to the living room. Opening the door, a delicious breakfast scent greeted me. Arisa, in an apron, stopped what she was doing and rushed over like she’d been waiting.
“Morning, Hayato-kun.”
“Morning, Arisa.”
Starting the day with two stunning girls feels like a miracle, but this isn’t their house—it’s mine. Why they’re here so early? Simple.
“I’m kinda getting used to waking up with you two around.”
“Haha♪ You’d better, ‘cause it’s gonna be like this forever.”
“Right, Hayato-kun. From now on, we’ll be together even more.”
They each said that, pulling out spare keys to my place. Aina’s somehow came from her cleavage—ignoring that for now—but after our new relationship started, I’d given them keys. They could come in anytime, and honestly, I loved that.
“Waking up to us, the smell of good food… If you say that with such a happy face, we’ll just try harder. Hey, Hayato-kun, am I being useful to you?”
Arisa asked, waiting for my answer. She had this vibe—like a loyal puppy wagging its tail for its owner.
“…Well, uh… yeah.”
“Oh… I’m so happy, Hayato-kun♪”
I didn’t want to judge my precious girlfriend by how “useful” she was, but Arisa’s obsessed with being helpful, always asking stuff like this.
(…It throws me off, but more than that… this space with them is just too damn sweet.)
Staring at Arisa while thinking that, I felt a thump—Aina hugged me from behind.
“Come on, Hayato-kun, eat breakfast! We’ll be late for school.”
“Got it… You’re not letting go?”
“…Hmm, wanna stay like this a bit longer.”
She clung to my back, not budging. It felt like she was sniffing me, but Aina’s always been super touchy, constantly pressing her curvy body against me.
“Hayato-kun… so nice… haa♪”
“…”
Her sultry tone made my heart skip. But we had to eat and get to school, so she let go soon enough.
After enjoying their breakfast, I got ready to leave. Aina stepped out to the bathroom, leaving me and Arisa waiting.
“Hayato-kun.”
“Yeah?”
“Will you say it again today?”
“…Oh.”
She wanted that again. I scratched my head, caving under her steady gaze, and mumbled it hesitantly.
“Thanks again today, Arisa. You’re really… my girl.”
“…Ahh♪”
She squirmed happily at my words. She’d first asked me to call her “mine,” but I couldn’t call her a thing, even joking—so it became this. And Arisa? Totally satisfied.
“…Arisa.”
“Huh? …Mm.”
Her cute reaction made me want to kiss her. Maybe I was still worked up from Aina earlier, my mood lingering.
“…Phew.”
“Hehe, passionate this morning, huh, Hayato-kun?”
It was sudden, but she didn’t pull away—hell, she suggested more. I went for it, and right then, Aina came back, caught us, and I ended up kissing her too before we left.
“Happy… so damn happy.”
Walking with them, I muttered it quietly. A few days had passed since I swore to drown in their love and support them. The semester-end exams were done, and thanks to our study sessions, I felt good about the results. My first high school winter break was looking bright.
(…Winter break, huh.)
Winter break, New Year’s—not as long as summer, but still a decent stretch. Would I not see them much? That thought bummed me out, but I couldn’t selfishly demand daily hangouts.
“Hm?”
On the way to school, a bike sped toward us. Arisa was on that side, so I instinctively grabbed her arm, pulling her gently to me. She looked surprised but quickly got it was the bike, smirking like she enjoyed it anyway.
“That’s just how you are, huh? Right, Aina?”
“Yep.”
Nah, it’s normal, I thought. As school neared, they split off ahead, and I followed. Even with our new relationship, we kept the same distance at school. We all knew dating two girls at once was weird to the world—so we kept this secret under wraps.
“…But man, they’re really melting me.”
Sure, we’re strangers at school, but after? It hits like a tidal wave. Lately, I’ve been going to their place more after classes. The moment I step inside, it’s like a different world—they’re full-on my girlfriends.
“Hehe, what a sight♪”
Visiting the Shinjo house after school, Sakuna-san was home early from work today. After greetings, Arisa and Aina latched onto my arms, clinging tight.
“…Getting used to it doesn’t make this less embarrassing.”
Having their mom stare while we flirt is mortifying, but Sakuna-san just keeps smiling at us. Beyond the sweet time with Arisa and Aina, Sakuna-san’s mature warmth sneaks up on me too, leaving me flustered in a different way.
“…Still, I’m so happy.”
Yeah, I can say I’m genuinely happy. Sure, I miss my family sometimes, but they fill me with so much warmth I don’t have time to mope.
“Thanks, Arisa, Aina. I’m so happy… That’s why I’ll keep supporting you both. Here’s to forever, yeah?”
They nodded firmly.
“Yes!”
“Of course!”
There’ll be tough times, not just happy ones. But I swore to myself—no matter what, we’d get through it.
“By the way, Hayato-kun.”
“Yeah?”
“Didn’t you think this morning, ‘Winter break’s gonna be lonely without them!’ or something?”
“How’d you know?”
“I just do♪ I know everything about you… Don’t worry, me and Nee-san have plans.”
“Arisa too?”
I glanced at her, and she nodded.
“Yeah. We’ll make the winter cold vanish… give you a time so full you won’t even think about being lonely.”
Her voice carried big intent—kinda scary, if I’m honest. I’d just thought I’d handle anything, but maybe I should stay on my toes with them.
“Hayato-kun, I love you.”
“I love you, Hayato-kun.”
If I don’t…
(…They might really turn me into a useless mess.)
What a luxurious worry, I thought, heading into winter break, feeling their precious warmth against me.
